I have lived 3 years in the Philippines but mainly lived in the provinces and in smaller rural areas. Manila is another world even if I prefer the provinces to live. I have to admit that some areas of Manila are really beautiful and Makati is the top. Manila has a very bad reputation and it is often undeserved. Of course there are very bad areas and incredibly poor areas but all cities after all have them. The traffic is hell everywhere though esp Friday night. The food shown at the start is not typical Filipino though. The food at the end (Abe restaurant) is filipino

I smile along with you each and every time you taste and sample foods from all around the world. I can almost taste the food through your expressions on your face each and every single time. Your the best. I hope to see you touring mid to Northern Italy's soon with their seafood, tripe and obviously seafood pasta dishes. Please don't forget their Baccala (salted Code) along with polenta (Corn meal) and octopus dishes. For what it's worth they are famous for their rabbit dishes as well and lets not forget their cheeses and prosciutto meats. Ciao for now. Dan

That's why all Filipino are very hospitable, very warm welcoming to the guest. The hotel suite was really amazing, and the food was very Filipino dishes. Hope you enjoy Mark for a couple stay here in our country. Godbless you and more food blogs to come.

If you guys go back to the philippines i really recommend going to this seafood place in manila, its amazing. You get to choose fresh seafood in the restaurant and they cook it for you. I always went there as a child. Its pretty expensive but its sooo good

I wish a had a wife like yours who is very adventurous on eating. My wife is a little picky. No pork and barely beef, so I'm stuck with chicken and turkey most of the time. Hmm so much huh I'll be quacking in next thing you know.

Mark your food palate is better than Mikey Chen but seems yr taste of food revolves around spicy foods more than the natural flavors. Can tell when you don't get something spicy your head doesn't tilt with yr bug eyes haha.
