2 Weeks In Bangkok travel guide (its FREE): On Day 6 of this Bangkok food and travel video guide series we got a bit of a late morning start, and from our hotel we headed straight to Silom Soi 10 Food Court ( 10) for lunch. After that we went to the Bangkok Snake Farm to see a snake show, and then had a coffee. For dinner we ate at Niyom Restaurant ) and to end the day we went to Asiatique The Riverfront - a big night market entertainment area. 00: 55 Silom Soi 10 Food Court ( 10) - If youre ever in the Silom area of Bangkok during lunch on the weekdays, one of my favorite places to get some Thai street food is the Silom Soi 10 Food Court ( 10. You just walk into the lane, and it will open up into a giant market. Just walk through all the clothes, and soon youll find yourself in a wonderland of food - just about all Thai street food that you can imagine and more is available at this office food court in Bangkok. I decided to start with a plate of yam mama, which is instant noodle salad. Ill first tell you that this is not a dish Id normally eat, but the stall at this market is extremely famous, so had to give it a try. It was alright, but definitely Thai instant noodles. I then had a plate of khao man gai, which is the Thai version of chicken rice. I liked how you could add as many chilies and ginger and sauce to your plate of chicken rice. Overall good, but chicken rice is what it is. I felt like I need some flavor though, so Ying bought me a bowl of khao soi gai ) chicken curry noodles, and it was a great way to end the lunch here at this amazing Bangkok food court. If you go, you have so many choices of what to eat. 9: 41 Lumpini Park ) - Located in Silom, Lumpini Park ) is the central park of Bangkok. I didnt really have plans to go, but since we had some extra time before the snake park show started, we walked around for a while. Its a park thats well worth visiting when youre in Bangkok. A great place to walk around and get some exercise. 10: 36 Bangkok Snake Farm ) - Located at the Thai Red Cross Society, Bangkok Snake Farm ) offers a snake demonstration at 2 pm, and we got there just in time for the snake show. One of the reasons its such a good show for me is because its very educational. The snake show is not just for the show, but since at the facility they create anti-venoms, they teach a lot about snakes, and have a real respect for snakes. Its a pretty cool snake show, and I think its well worth a visit when youre in Bangkok (the Bangkok Snake Farm is featured in the 101 Things To Do In Bangkok eBook: 13: 31 Niyom Restaurant ) - For dinner we went to a restaurant at Silom Plaza called Niyom Restaurant ) that specializes in Chinese Teochew food. Along with a bunch of other good, but on the plain side dishes, my favorite dish of the night was moo dom, boiled pork served with a fermented bean sauce and chilies and ginger. 18: 47 Asiatique The Riverfront - One of the main Bangkok night markets is Asiatique The Riverfront, and the easiest way to get there is to take the BTS skytrain to Saphan Taksin, and from there they have a free shuttle boat that will take you directly to Asiatique The Riverfront. The market is very modern, and includes a mix of store, souvenir shops, and restaurant, and places just to hang out. Its a huge Bangkok tourist attraction, but its a pleasant place to walk around in the evening. We didnt really do much, and then headed back to our hotel. this Bangkok travel guide video - Day 6

Mark, really enjoy your vlogs, especially the ones focused on Thailand. But it seems you're always overseas nowadays. :)We only recently tracked down this series and enjoyed it last night. A few minor gripes: It was a shame that you could only do a flyby of Asiatique The Riverfront and not even enter the place. Though certainly not the cheapest place to eat in Bangkok, there are many cool bars/restaurants worthy of introduction, as you probably know. Also, any chance to get Ying to smile a bit more and to show some interest in what you're doing? All the best.

Everything you eating is delicious because you made them look so delicious especially when you put extra extra Thai fresh chillies on it, my favorite. My mouth water everytime you put lots of chillies on your bites, I was in Thailand 2016 & didn't know of your videos until afterward. Love your blogs, keep eating chillies for us. luv you & Ying like spicy fresh Thai's chillies

Oh my goodness. I held my breathe without realising when you showed the snake show. Then I ended up gasping for air and I pushed my tablet away from me. That is one show that I would sit right at the back. Snakes are so scary to me. I'm glad I live in a country where there are no snakes, maybe that is why they scare me because I'm not used to them.

No way I go to that food court with my girlfriend all the time when I stay in Bangkok as I usually stay along Surawong Rd. there is a delicious Larb Gai Tod there which I get nearly every time because it's so good, or I get Moo Krop with a bowl of seafood sauce to dip it in, one of my favourite things to eat in Thailand: )

My granny used to make really good Khao soi up until a few years ago. She's too old now and doesn't/cannot cook anymore. This brought back memories of childhood and made me realise that her recipe is going to be lost forever. She can't really remember all the ingredients clearly and it is rather heartbreaking.
