I know Mark, i can relate: .i grew up eating frog from rice fields, gourami and martiniko fish and aratilis( the small fruits) etcs etcs of abundance ( which we don't needed to buy it coz it's just a lot in the river and around the sorroundins, But when the industrialization growing those fades and just not available already That's the price for progress, natural things vanished: )

I've been following your food sojourns quite lately andwe find ( my wife & I ) that for one thing, you're a person who is genuinely passionate about whatever you eat. And you show humility in all Your presentational videos. Maybe that's why you get such a huge fan base. Keep doing whatever that is right and we can only wish you good tidings. Thanks Mark & Ying ( not forgetting Micah)

Imo i think its better with Thai Chilli Frog Legs instead of the whole frog. Their bones are harder then chiken bones and you have to take them out all the time when eating. Its better with Frog legs becouse u get more meat and less bones. Try that next time Mark (if you havent try that already): ) The Thai chilli frog legs is more tasety with less bones.

Thais and Malaysians share the same delicasies when it comes to fish. that Gourami is called Sepat in Malaysia and best served deep fried. when dried up it can be salty. yummy though. that fruit you ate is called Ceri/Cherry ala SEA. commonly used by kids as bullets when playing army/cops

In Indonesia, especially Nothern Sumatranese cuisine, we use citrusy peppercorn (andaliman) as the spices. You should try Dengke Arsik and Sambal Andaliman next time you go here (again) It has unique citrusy, peppery, and tangy flavor in the nose (like wasabi. So yummy
