Hi Mark. I follow your video I'd like to suggest you to visit Yogyakarta. It's in the middle of Java. The typical food is so different with the one you have in Jakarta, like Nasi Padang or Nasi Goreng Kambing. The typical food in Yogyakarta is simple and sweet. I believe it would add to your record of experience of Indonesian food.

It's a torture to watch this video when you are 7890 miles away from Jakarta. This is the place where I used to visit after working until 2 AM in the morning. I can feel the flavor in my mouth while watching this video. damn. This is definitely the first place I will visit after I am back to the city: (

Mark, calling goat meat lamb is almost unforgivable; however, since you are Mark Wiens, THE most famous and loved food reviewer in the world, we'll overlook it this time. BTW, I was drooling through the entire video.

Whoa!
A little background historical information - the dish - Nasi Goreng - was actually named after Hermann Goering who took a liking of the taste of the dish and frequently ordered his chef to make it.

Fried rice did not taste good. Perhaps there was an error processing the raw meat. Goat meat still pungent smell. Very disappointing, did not match my expectations.
