On Day 15 in Bhutan we were in Phobjikha Valley. The home farm stay was an amazing opportunity to learn about Bhutanese food and culture. Bhutanese breakfast, including mandatory butter tea, was fantastic. Black-necked cranes - Phobjikha Valley is famous for their black necked cranes which migrate from Tibet every winter. We spent a little while browsing the Black-Necked Crane Visitor Center. Entrance - 120 BTN (1. 79) Gangtey Goenpa Monastery - One of the main monasteries overlooking Phobjikha Valley is Gangtey Goenpa Monastery. Its a nice place to walk around and get a view overlooking the valley. Gangtey Goenpa Lodge - One of the only high end hotels in Phobjikha Valley is Gangtey Goenpa Lodge, and to switch up eating Bhutanese food for every meal we came here for lunch. I decided to order the yak burger. Wangchuk Dema Farmstay - Finally, we checked into another farm home stay called Wangchuk Dema Farmstay. We walked around in the evening and had another delicious home cooked Bhutanese food meal for dinner. Disclosure: It was an honor to be invited by MyBhutan to visit Bhutan to explore Bhutanese food and culture. I don't think your videos will help tourism in Bhutan, not because you're doing a poor job at documenting the food and certainly not because Bhutan isn't worth it, you are a great youtuber and Bhutan is clearly a breathtaking nation. But the only angle this country will look average is from the food perspective, there just isn't much to see and sadly this translates into repetitions in your videos. To me Bhutanese people look at food like fuel, it's cold then they eat hot chillies, dairy fat and protein, and it makes perfect sense, who can blame them? I don't. Maybe for countries like Bhutan, Nepal and others that have so much to offer but great food you could adapt your content and try to show us something from a different perspective? I'm sure there's a public for that, I know I would love to watch it.

A lot of people say Mark isn't honest with his opinions on the food he eats and he like it all. OkI think he is honest. 1. he only goes to recommended places He doesn't go to the rubbish places, as funny as that would be 2. He covers everything in chilli, and as a fellow chilli head. everything taste better with chilli. 3. As a chilli head, the guys only got one taste bud left Everything taste good. Especially when chillis on top of it. And he has his own marking system. the Mark Weinstein trademark tilt o meter. right good. left even better. Closed eyes. happy on top. must have had extra chilli. And head bob. that's the trifecter, that means the misses getting none of this now. All mine

Mark Wiens. I love watching your ventures. The destinations, the food and especially the people. Bhutan & Phobjikha Valley is something special and your graciousness, appreciation for the hospitality of these kind people is beautiful. Always look forward to seeing your next vlog but for now I must go & feed my hunger cos watching you eat is such a challenge. A modern kitchen with modern foods simply doesn't compare but I just imagine it's similar to what you are having. Love you guys

i've really been enjoying these bhutan videos. some people might complain of the 'repetitiveness' which is actually pretty rude and. totally silly tbh because it might be the same dish but it is prepared by different people and eaten in different settings. i didn't know anything about bhutanese food and culture before watching mark's videos and it's sooo interesting would love to visit it one day though i read it's quite expensive and they are strict about foreigners visiting?

it's ok to take smaller bites Marky, good food needs to be taken slowly to savor each of the explosion of taste. Keep working on those hand techniques, 3 fingers to pile and thumb to lock in the scoop to the mouth so nothing dangles out. Bhutanese food are both cultural and geographical influenced, the taste makes you wanna eat the same everyday, The fats also suits the weather. Can't wait for my next visit.

Love Mark's Bhutan series and also his other videos, He always smiles and seems to enjoy every food he eats, i wonder if he actually doesn't like some food. And man, he eats a huge amount of chili, Mark, how do you cope with stomach burning from chili? Mark is always happy, simple and sweet. Never says anything bad about any food or culture. Always finds something nice to say and really enjoys everything.

I started watching your Seoul videos a couple of months ago, leading into all of the others. Your stage presence is great, your introduction to the world is so informing and your wife Ying is just adorable. I am Korean and I am very impressed by your entire presentation. I look forward to keep on watching

Go to sleep in the cold room. Were you saying that as in that you were looking forward to freezing all night? Lol. Also, I couldn't believe how much you ate with those meals being so close together in time from one place to the next How do you do that I think the yak burger would've done me in for the day Lol.
