On Day 13 of our Bhutan travel and food trip, we drove from Thimphu to Punakha. Dochula Pass - On the drive from Thimphu to Punakha, youll pass through Dochula Pass, a beautiful mountain pass. Although it was foggy, there were still great views and it had an almost eerie feel to it. Punakha Dzong - A Dzong is the center of government, administration, and religion in every district of Bhutan, and one of the most famous places to visit in Punakha is the local Dzong. Unfortunately they dont allow any video inside the dzong, but the views from outside were still spectacular. Punakha Suspension Bridge - This bridge was a little scary to cross, but the beauty was amazing. Yak Herders Camp - Food and Lodging - For lunch we stopped at Yak Herders camp, there werent too many food options in this area of Bhutan. The food was alright, we mostly ate Indian food

Love these Bhutan videos. I think the ema dahtsi at this farm is hotter because that is how they really eat it. The versions in the bigger towns/cities are probably toned down for western travelers. When I was stationed in Korea, the further we got away from tourist locations, the hotter the food; especially the kimchi which I love I still buy it here in Texas but my wife makes me keep the jar in the garage fridge. Thank you so very much for all the effort you put into making these videos. I sincerely hope Ying gets some hot food once in a while. Love you guys

I am sorry that you are getting so many complaints Mark. I had never heard of Bhutan before this series and I am enjoying every video What an amazing people, such beautiful landscapes and I love the architecture. As for the food, I don't' understand the issues people are having. No matter where you travel, you will eat versions of the same foods as that is what people eat there. (some version of pasta, some version of rice, some version of chicken, a repeat of local veg. etc)

Mark, you certainly not shy about helping yourself with shared meals. Normally we say 'leave some for your wife'. But the way you load up your plate, it seems like you were more concerned about the video than the rest of people who still need to eat. Do you always serve yourself first then eat make commentary for the video while everyone else wait? We know you want to get the 'shot' for us but we don't want you to be inconsiderate at our expense.

Good Morning everyone, welcome to Bhutan. It's Day 345 and we will have some Etsi and Momos today. it's absolutely wonderful ( rolling eyes and tilting head. Seriously? So, one more week of the same food. Why do you stay so long? Is it that every restaurant, hotel and travel agency can have their fair share of advertisment in your video? I rather prefer your unbound and free roaming videos, where the food keeps changing.

Hi Mark Wiens, we love to watch your videos, from Brazil I just would like to give you a tip, which it may be more exciting, since we see you walking up and down, that would be nice if you could place on the screen below how many steps you are giving in every each time you are eating. Perhaps that might be your secret of eating very well and keep being fit: )

Love watching your videos Mark (and Ying) I'm transgender so there's a very low chance I'll ever be able to visit these places like you get to, let alone save the money to get there. Being able to travel vicariously through you and see these beautiful countries and cities is great. Thank you for, pardon the pun, giving people like me a taste of those cultures.

Mark do you have a way to send you treats and goodies? I'm sending you every hot pepper seed I own (I'm an avid gardener) I also want to send you a selection of hot sauces from Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. (I live in Alabama and I'm close to the other two states. You need you a utility belt that holds hot sauce, chili powder, hot chili oil, ect. LOL

Mark while i admire your videos they r a treat to watch but hasn't it been too repetitive? I mean for a small country like Bhutan which have basically similar cultural n food background all over, i guess its basically just 4-5 dishes. Had u travelled to diverse nations like Nepal, India then i guess you would get plenty variety of gastronomic experience

Bhutan, the most racist country in the planet. About 100, 000 Bhutanese were expelled because they didnt speak Dzonka and dress like what the king wanted. Many were killed. Their horrific state is beyond description, many committed suicide. In the so called attempt to be so called happy country, they have dark crimes of humanity within;
