Cebu is such a fantastic food paradise and today I m meeting up with my friends BhenYuri and we re first going to harvest and eat fresh eels at a legendary restaurant. Then we ll be going to another place that serves the freshest oysters in Cebu to eat grilled oysters and the greatest milkfish I ve ever had. Get ready for another delicious day eating Filipino food! Entoy's Bakasihan - Located on the island of Cordova, across the channel of water from Cebu is Entoy's Bakasihan. Unfortunately, the founder Mr Entoy has passed, but his family is keeping to the tradition. They have a fantastic story of supporting the local fishers of the island by buying their eels and cooking delicious recipes with them. We had the honor to go out into the ocean in the morning to see the harvesting process. Then we headed back to the restaurant, saw the full cooking process of eel soup and fried eels. We then had a seafood feast, straight from sea to table. It was a delicious meal, and highly recommended. Total price - 950 Temyong's Talaba - Next up for an oyster mountain! We headed over to Temyong's Talaba where they produce their own fresh oysters. We had a chance to see how they harvest them. Then you can choose your size of oysters, they grill them up fresh and you eat them with soy sauce, vinegar and calamansi. Additionally, something I didn t even know we were going to eat was a stuffed and grilled bangus / milkfish. I ve had it many times before, but this was the best one I ve ever had! Total price - 725 Both restaurants are legendary and if you re looking for delicious food and a unique experience, you can t miss them when you re in Cebu! Thank you again to BhenYuri for taking me around, be sure to follow them for many more food videos in Cebu.

The tidal flats of Cordova is much larger than the total land area of Cordova itself. That means, the tidal flats are so precious to many locals who derive their livelihood from its bounty such as baby eels, sea shells, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and many kinds of fish that they usually sell to local markets both in Lapu-Lapu City and Cebu City. The fish is so abundant in Cordova waters because there are huge mangrove forests scattered all over that serve as breeding or spawning ground for many fishes such as rabbit fish, parrot fish, spine foot, anchovies, and trevallies.

you were in my back yard Mark. I live in Lapu-Lapu on Mactan Island. I have been to Cordoba many times. its funny. I showed my wife and two sons that you were eating eels and all three, four including me, would not eat them. I am glad that you are able to eat all food from different cultures around the world. I have a great appreciation for vloggers like you. It was around the time of my birthday you were here and it would have been nice to meet and greet with your family. Rick from Philippines

They should've cleaned the eels' intestines prior to cooking it. Generally, you're supposed to remove the head too. If eels are cleaned properly, you shouldn't be tasting the slime from their outer skins; it's just supposed to taste like a clean and soft meat. This way, customers don't have to worry about accidentally eating the intestines or any other parts you're not supposed to eat.

It just makes me sad seeing that they don't preserve the baby eels. The eels that they harvest now are getting younger because they include the baby eels. The matured ones are getting rare. The local government should help to preserve the environment & regulate their catch.

My sons are from Cebu originally. They have lived in USA for the last 30 years. Very Americanized. But I shared this video. They will appreciate! Thanks, Mark and all of your network folk!

Netflix has a show called Street Food: Asia. Season one, Episode Nine, called Cebu, Philippines. It tells the tale of this man and his restaurant. Definitely worth checking it out.

Too much work to eat. But also just unappetizing. Slime, guts, head and bones. If it looks good eat it. But if it looks bad don t. Not everything created was meant for our food.

NEW EDITING! I like the idea but it's kind of hard to read the small print on the green backsplash above the dish or spoon as it's moving around. Love the pizzazz though!
