Guiglo, C te d Ivoire (Ivory Coast) - After making our way along the Atlantic coast of C te d Ivoire, we re continuing our Ivorian food tour to the north, stopping first for an extraordinary meal in Guiglo, before we continue all the way to Northern Ivory Coast, eating as much local food as we can along the way. In Guiglo, C te d Ivoire we met with the Gu r tribe and Madam cooked us an absolutely incredible meat called Sauce Bawin (cassava leaves sauce) and Sauce Kpl Ba (sticky sauce) - a meal fit for West African royalty! It was impressive and the flavors were unbelievable. We continued our journey to Touba and to an extremely remote village called Gboola. In Gboola we saw one of the most mysterious and fascinating dances I ve ever scene, the Ivorian stilt dances. We then had lunch with the community. Finally to complete this cay we drove to Odienne, in the very northern part of C te d Ivoire. There we had some Gnomi (griddle cakes) and a huge meal of Sumbala La-fri - Rice made with eggplant and locust beans. It was another incredible day of local West African food in C te d Ivoire (Ivory Coast! A huge thank you to my friend Mo Soumahoro from Belle Côte d Ivoire for arranging my trip and setting up everything.

He is always laughing and smiling when the lady was speaking in her language. He didn't know what she was saying so he laughed to brush it off. But when he's in China or North Korea he speaks a bit of their language. But when you travel to these places in Africa you should learn their native language since you want to eat their food as well. Get to know them over all

Hygiene lady Hygiene!
Shes sticking her hand in her mouth and dishing out food. I have all respect for all cultures, hygine must go beyond culture (for every ones wellbeing) we are now living in 21st century, and should adhere to using our own plate and utensils. I would expect this in a bush tribe, not in a town.

The way she was putting her hands in her mouth and then, serving him the food with the same hand and helping him with the sauce, oh heck no! Sorry but I rather have my own plate, sharing spit with others isn't my thing. Otherwise great content as always! I am African by the way and currently live in Ivory Coast.

the ladylicking herhand then touching the food was so distracting. io have watched plenty of vids with people people eating their hands but this is the first time I was genuinely worried. unless ure my child or my partner don't lick your hand and touch my food

seeing the difference between this video and your first video, is night and day. your new videos don't get any more professional and entertaining than this. excellent production quality. it's no surprise you've risen to be the #1 food travel show in the world!

Mark is the only Caucasian food vlogger, food cuisine critic, ( not that Mark is a critic, that seriously and deeply appreciates west African food as a highly refined cuisine that can compare with any other cuisine, in terms of flavors.

Our Western Africa is the same, we eat same food and wear same outfit just across the border in Liberia similar culture. I visited Mane so many times, we lived in Danane as refugee for many years. Beautiful place and beautiful people

I understand appreciating difference foods and people's culture. BUT her sticking her hands All in her mouth and touching his food is gross thats just nasty. Germs and bacteria all over the food now.

West Africa seems to be generous with their food servings. That s totally fit for a King, considering they need to eat a lot to be able to fulfill their duties and responsibilities to their community.

OMG! The mask dance was beautiful It must take lots of skill and coordination to dance like that. Nice to see a culture so pure and untouched.
