The 27 Club in Paris: Chef's Night Out with Inaki Aizpitarte

The best-known 27 Club has some very well known members-Cobain, Hendrix, and Joplin, to name a few. But French-Basque chef I-aki Aizpitarte has forged his own version-of the 27 Club: he began-his culinary-career as a 27-year-old novice, and his self-effacing Parisian eatery, Le Chateaubriand, currently occupies the 27th spot on the world's best restaurants list. - He may have made good, but on his recent Chef's Night Out, Aizpitarte and friends proved that they can drink themselves into stupors worthy of doomed rockstars. Their four-stop-sojourn-starts modestly enough, with afternoon salads, -tentacles, and vino at-sunny Chez Aline, where they used to slice and dice horses. Then come the G&Ts at Clamato, a sidewalk chat with multi-Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse, plates of clams and-p-t---at Le Verre-Vol-, and much mescal at El Cafe Bar. Pretty soon, our cadre of European gents are sheepishly slap-happy, fondling egg yolks and scuffing their shoes at some of the most sought-after counter space in the City-of-Light. I believe in learning step by step. When I came out of Culinary School, I started as a dishwasher by choice. I wanted too learn all positions in a restaurant so that I could appreciate the hard work and dedication for each position. Cooking and Baking has always been my passion and I would never change a thing in the way I learned. As a Chef I found all my team as valuable and always was willing to jump in anywhere I was needed. This made me have a very dedicated and strong team in each position I was in, I was fortunate too have the passion and he desire too succeed! I miss it terribly, all of it! From the stress of putting out delectable food too the comradery with each and ever staff I had. Love watching Munchies!

I don't know what's interesting about seeing pretentious hipsters getting drunk. Even if i like getting drunk sometimes, I didn't click on this video to see that. I'd have hoped to see nice food, different ways of cooking and also to understand how the food take part in the life of some people! --From France (sorry for my english)

These French guys just demonstrated how a proper chefs night out should go down! This is how Line Cook's drink, all that hard work from serving you food every night purged out in alcohol fueled debauchery! These guys get the true chef award.

What a hot mess. LOL. Not the best episode, yet clearly the most waisted. It was Paris after all, show us some better food. Yet that said, entertaining as always. Keep the videos coming. Blessings ChefMike
