In this episode of Chef's Night Out, we hang out with one of Montreal's most famous chefs-Chuck Hughes-and the key crew at his fantastic seafood-heavy basement restaurant Le Bremner. Along with his energetic chef de cuisine Danny Smiles and lovably eccentric bartender Vito Ciocca, Chuck takes us for a wild night in Montreal. It starts at Barocco, a warm and rustic cocktail and snack spot in Old Montreal. We follow that up with a feast at Derek Damann's amazing gastropub-style restaurant, Maison Publique. And to cleanse our palates, we get a few rounds of cocktails in giant pineapples at Le Mal Necessaire, the new hotspot in Chinatown. In true Chef's Night Out fashion, we top it all off with a party at Le Bremner early the next morning. So, enjoy it! We sure did. J.L.: One of my favorite episodes on the playlist from the people, their attitude, the food, demeanor, setting, everything was just awesome on this episode. Would be dope to visit Montreal and hang out with these dudes.

Talented chefs. Seem like nice people. But where's the respect to their inspiration? Joe Beef is where Chuck worked and was trained, then he left and started his own place completely copying Joe Beef. Why not give the credit where it's due? He NEVER does in anything he's on and I find that disrespectful. Joe Beef wasn't the first Montreal restaurant and they constantly pay respect to the places that inspired them: PDC, Moish's, etc Why can't Chuck do this?

I find it funny that people keep throwing the -hipster- label around for Chuck. He has always been my favourite Food Network chef. I guess people don't really recognise him, but I'm pretty sure being a part of Food Network (and having several shows for them) will take most of his -hipster-chef- credibility away.

I went to that pineapple bar lol 10 mins from my house walking lol theres actually another club that's a total secret - you go in a store that seems closed, open up a wall and theres a hidden bar without a name.

One of my least favorite episodes. I hate it. The first and only time I'm seeing this episode. I'm giving it an automatic dislike right now! Let's go, dickheads!

I loved everything about this episode! Makes me wanna go back to MTL asap. Btw Sichuan means fourth river, not north of the river in Chinese lol.

Does any one know what the penne pasta dish was towards the end? I tried to hear what the guy said like 4 times, but I couldn't make it out.

Pretty distinct montreal accents from all these dudes - from what I hear, they probably all prefer to speak English, but are still perfectly bilingual
