disliked the tone of this video. it made the korean ppl seem like they were weirdos and examined them as if they were a group of -others-, rather than just people like us. felt like an overly critical and cold way to explore another culture. what's so weird about enjoying food porn? 2 years later american youtubers have mukbang vidoes too. I think ASMR videos and slime videos are much weirder, but you don't see any korean documentaries about -Americans and their slime vidoes-

I wonder if there-s a problem with eating disorders like binge and purging. in America we have been up to our necks, literally, in this epidemic. The idolatry of food fixation is nothing new. What God intended for good, us humans can do it till it hurts. nothing really new about that. It-s the nature of our carnality. To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and Peace.

Why would I waste my time watching someone eating his dinner? -Mukbang is a sign of devolution. We have so much time to waste, we watch others people eating their meal whilst we miss out on real conversations in the real world. -Keep living behind your screen if you want but i'd rather go back to reading good books instead

the pieces of broadcasts chosen for the intros for the sections are quite wrong. the guy pouring water on its head makes no sense showcased like this, but there may be some backstory on that. showing it in this manner just degrades this culture making it seem -weird- or -freak-. bad presentation overall.

Almost 4 years later and mukbangs are pretty popular among western viewers too! Just look at Trisha Paytas and other YouTubers for example. It's not a fetish, people just enjoy the satisfaction of watching others enjoy a good meal, especially if they're on a diet and can't eat junk food themselves.

I like how the interviewer complained that the chat monitors were spending too much time monitoring the chat as opposed to spending time with the person in front of them. Like their job is to be looking at the chat and making sure no one saying offensive things etc.
