The Best Slice of Pizza in LA: Chef's Night Out with Pizzanista!

You often hear people lament that you can't get a good slice of pizza in LA-and for the most part, that's true. Except in the case of Pizzanista, a pizza place in the city's arts district started by former pro skateboarder Salman Agah and his wife Price. We follow Salman and Price for a night out in LA as they hit up some of their favorite local spots. First, we head to Roy Choi's new restaurant Commissary at the Line Hotel, where the group sips on drinks and chows down on some interesting vegetables described as carrots that taste like hot dogs. Then it's off to Ruen Pair for the papaya salad that Salman swears by. Our last stop is Monty Bar for drinks, and then it's back to Pizzanista, where Price celebrates her birthday by cooking up a stinging nettle pizza for their friends

When you can-t hack it in pro skate, and your emo little brother can-t hack in art school, why not succeed and failing in your own pizzaria. At least you have a friend that you -might know from a movie-. Who doesn-t speak the whole time on camera so you can-t claim his IMBD. Here is a piece of paper and some crayons. Get in the corner and draw me and ice cream Sunday pizza and eat the disgusting jelly belly-s and pretend they don-t bother you just to be cool. Cause you are.

It was great when it was just food porn, but now, it's food by burnouts. Left and right. I've watched zillions of Munchies vids and one after another, its burnout, drinking people who rise no higher than 'foodage. ' --This is not the apex of culture, this is the decline of rome. --The Lone Comic TM

OMG! the guy at the 1: 09 mark blows under the pizza as he's putting it in! that turned me off from going to this place, it looks great but i don't want no one blowing into my food, maybe a little saliva might get into food.

Of all the food shows ive seen from around the world California is dead last interesting as far as the people go. Given, there are a few old school authentic Californians. Yeah just move out here and become a vacuum! Pile in!

A bar in LA that serves fancy mixed up drinks and projects cult films on the wall is -kinda no nonsense-. OK. -What a super interesting woman who grew up on a ranch in Texas if you didnt catch that. Cool group of guys.

When I was skating as a 13 year old at a skatepark in Madera, CA, Salman Agah showed up. Me and my friends asked if he would sign some stuff, and he signed my shoe. Good to know he's still doing cool shit.

fkn hippies. I want the morning glory bc I heard it's a psychedelic and I'll pretend to like it but don't bring me any dairy bc it harms the cows to take their milk. our pizzas are 100% tree bark

There's no such thing as subjective taste to these -people- if you don't agree with my specific taste then your tiny brain and palate just isn't advanced enough to understand what's -food-
