Frank Pinello is back in Texas with another episode of A Frank Experience. This time, he-s in Lexington, TX and is learning what it takes to make world-class barbecue for the masses at the legendary Snow-s BBQ. Famous for their dry rub and onion-based mop, Snow-s specializes in barbecue brisket, but also makes world-famous ribs, jalape-o cheddar sausage links, chicken and pork steak. Frank works the pit all night, trying to keep up with 84 year-old pit master Tootsie Tomanetz, who-s been making barbecued meats for the people of Lexington for over 50 years. After mopping the meat, Frank tries his hand working the counter (and an electric carving knife) with the Snow-s staff to serve the lengthy line of customers who start queuing up at 8am for proper Texas BBQ

Nice to see such respect for tradition and elders as a repository of tradition. This is common in Asia and, to a lesser degree Europe, but not yet wholly American. As we age as a nation, it's important we develop such virtues of respect: the Romans called it -mos maiorum- and for the ancient Chinese, -xiao- or --, - and it's time for an American version: let's called it the American way.

Love the vlog, but the language? It's called foul language having nothing to do with birds or feathers. --It's called OFFENSIVE language because people get offended. only those who are within earshot. ---Profanity is the expression of a feeble mind to express itself forcefully. - --Don't know who originated that expression, but it still holds true. --My story sticking to it.

I grew up miles from Lexington and I didnt hear about Snow's until after I left the area. Ah, they started in 2003. I left in 2001. For these guys to make a name for themselves in central Tx you can believe they're good. Theres Meyers, Southside, Kreutz's, Smitty's, Black's, City Market, Chisolm Trail all in the same general area.

Just wondering why the Health Department hasn't shut it down? No instant-read meat thermometers? Food Handler' Permits? Spiders growing in the wood pile? Where are the rat traps around the property from Saturday to Saturday service? HUH?

I really dont understand why people think it's cool to talk over food while cooking? -Nobody wants your saliva all over our food! -I get it. It happens more than I'd like to believe. Still, not cool.

Frank is a great host. Very respectful and he lets them tell the story. Sometimes you get hosts who are a little too fond of the sound of their own voice. There's non of that with Frank.

My religion does not allow me to eat beef, but good food is good food and I love beef. I hope to visit Texas someday and eat some great BBQ. I am already salivating.

Hey Frankie P. you need to go Down Under. I've heard on good authority that they have a bad Pizza crisis in Australia. I heard the pizza down under is terrible!
