Quite an interesting exploration into the sense of tasting food. While scented oils may not be new, the idea of using the aroma of food to mask and even trick the mind into the taste of other food is clever. Think about how this could mean moving towards adding bugs to our daily diet, instead of relying on livestock which is currently harming the planet.

i wonder about studies on excess exposure to food scents. when i did meal prep at a restaurant, i got skinnier with the smells just assaulting me constantly and taste testing. then again, i see some people who start working at pizza places or restaurants just blow up: /.

I don't understand how anything this guy's doing is interesting. He's extracting the oil from actually cooking down meat/garlic/curry and using that as -perfume-? No shit it's going to taste like that thing when he sprays it onto the jelly, the oil is packed with flavour.

to -hack- in english means to break into something or get to the core of something by breaking away the surroundings, -to hack away at something-. I would suspect -hacking- in computers is much the same, i. e. breaking into the code.

I would totally buy curry perfume. I love curry, i love the smell, taste, spiciness, and texture. I want it to be my last meal. -Also what about just straight fruit perfumes? Like Blackberry or Strawberry?

The idea of spraying a fragrance onto healthier food such as oatmeal is a great idea. I can see this working very well for those who don't enjoy vegetables.

Also those food perfumes, curry and bbq etc seems to be a great way to make an alibi if needing to commit a crime, js, smells don't lie. yet.
