For this episode of Chef-s Night Out, we tag along with Chef Alon, of Shaya, to his favorite local spots. Pro: brothers green fully endorses Shaya! I stumbled in there one day for lunch when I was on run and I was hilariously underdressed but when I saw what was happening with the pitas, I couldn't turn back. I took one bite of the fresh pita dipped in zaatar oil and my brain split open. I immediately called my Israeli girlfriend and let her know we have to plan a trip together to New Orleans just to eat there! It's not easy to find gourmet Israeli, especially with a twist of southern love! My favorite restaurant of the year

Israeli/Arabic are ethnicities and NOT religions. Being born an -Israeli- doesn't seperate you from your arabic heritage - I'm jewish, part marrocan and part egyptian. It's perfectly fine for him to say he cooks Israeli food and he even says how it is inspired greatly from arabic cuisine. Stop turning everything into half-assed politics you get from Fox News and eat some goddamn hummus.

Hey guys I'm from India and I made a hamburger yesterday. I will now open an authentic Indian food restaurant that serves authentic hamburgers. It's so typical that the Israeli steal food ideas and call them their own, not like they would do that with land.

I seriously cannot believe how much the people in these Munchies videos can eat. I'm a cook, and I love to eat as much as anybody, but if I ate as much as these people do, I'd be throwing up. And they're never overweight, either!

Guys. I do not mean to insult anybody, but noone really gives a shit if it's palestine or israeli. All I came here for is to look at this amazing food that I will most likely never have a chance to try: D

Can we just enjoy the food without these political/religion hatred commentary? This site has turned for the worse with half of the people acting like they know everything, shitting all over videos.

i love that he acknowledges that israeli cuisine is a mixture of many cuisines n mostly middle-eastern but still pretty unfair to call it israeli food, its like kim k being credited for cornrows.

you mean Palestinian food! even the name of the food is arabic, baba gannouch, hummus, tahini, flaffel. These words are not hebrew words they are arabic words. Go make some bagels buddy.
