It's sad that our prison system here in the US is so corrupt. Our prisons intentionally don't help rehabilitate criminals because they want them to keep breaking the law and returning to prison where some private prison owner is making cash for every prisoner that enters his prison. It's the exact same with our pharmaceutical industry.

Actually this is not the first restaurant of its kind. Cardiff, Wales (in the UK) has a restaurant called -The Clink- in which all the dining, waiting and cooking staff are prisoners. It is extremely highly rated and I had to book almost 6 weeks in advance.

I really enjoyed this one! I think this is an amazing opportunity, and a great way to rehabilitate inmates. It's way better to lead them into society rather than pushing them away. --Everyone deserves a shot at redemption!

Preach this in the UK. Unless you are in jail for Murder or a serious violent crime, train people in jobs like this, give them responsibility and pride, help them have a life when they leave jail. Just give people a chance.

I couldn't get into the cooking school I wanted to since I didn't have the money and didn't make the cut. Are the cooks murderers or drug trafficers so I'll know which crime to commit to get in?
