Chef's Night Out in Vienna with Konstantin Filippou

Konstantin Filippou, chef of the year 2016 and owner of a fine dinging restaurant and a natural wine bar named O bouf-s has a day off to hang out with his friends at a few of his favourite places in Vienna. The evening starts in his own kitchen where he serves duck liver parfait, red beets, and blackcurrant. Before the sun sets, they head out to the second district, to have glaced ribs and salami wine at Mochi followed by a visit to his friend Christian Petz, who owns a traditional Viennese restaurant that might serve one of the best innards you can find. Before they return to O bouf-s to have his famous Saganaki, they take a quick detour to a very small bar that is still a well kept secret

Ha fantastic! it's a stressful job being a chef! I mean cooking on youtube is one thing, but slogging it out for 17 hours a day making delicious food that you can't even have yourself, would be torture to me. Good to see these guys having some quality fun! Work hard and play hard as they say.

Finally an episode in Vienna and then this. I am a bit dissapointed. Showed so much -Upper Class- where Vienna is much more about the nice Down to earth stuff. Check out Anthony Bourdaines Vienna Episode, he got it right.

I studied in Germany for a year and this guy seems like most of my German friends; fairly straight and serious when sober and the polar opposite when pissed, whilst in constant pursuit of more alcohol!

Grown ass men. acting like teen girls night out. Is there anyone in the culinary world ready to step up and take Bourdain's place? I'm so sick of hipster, childless, sissy-man culture.
reply

Please. Do. Not. take this as an example of austrian and/or especially viennese culture! -Being born and living here I would not consider this exactly representative.

i am not a fan of this guy. who names his restaurant after himself? not very creative and feels a bit arrogant. and smashing glass all around is just rude.
