Mel Gibson is a New Yorker, man. He was born in Peekskill, but raised in Australia. (And yes, we people from Westchester are as -New York- as it gets. The Bronx used to be Westchester) As someone from Cortlandt Manor who grew-up along the Peekskill-Cortlandt city/town line, I'm so ashamed of him. I mean, I know Hollywood forgave him and some of his best friends are Jewish, but it's still embarrassing for us, especially since our part of the Tri-State Area is as Jewish as N. Y. C. It's hard to be the pride of a county where 1-out-of-every-12-people is of considerable & distinct Ashkenazi descent.
