A really great stop-gap for motion sickness is to stomp your feet. There are proprioceptive organs in your legs called Golgi-Tendons. They help your body know where everything is at at any point in time. When your cochlea is having trouble compensating with the motion this will help (a little) with keeping your breakfast down.

I was in San Felipe in 2002, my first time to Mexico. I had shrimp and fish tacos so many times. To this day, it's one of my favorite foods and I haven't been back in nearly 20 years. Looking forward to returning.
