I don't know if I'd call that bottle of Kewpie original. I'd have to see the label. Maybe original enough, but not the one that's the good one. If it doesn't have mustard, then it's not the one. They sell that same bag a Walmart here now and I do like it, but our local Fareway started selling a smaller bottle that's not in a bag and I immediately noticed it because of how much more yellow it was. It has mustard in the ingredients and it tastes just like the mayo I get in the small squeeze packet in my Myojo Ippeichan Yakisoba noodles from the Asian store. That's the good shit.

I’m still waiting on you to try Chicken Parm Cremera Pizza.
Pizza Crust
Tomato Sauce
Alfredo Sauce
Diced Grilled Chicken
Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Bacon Crumbles
Roasted Garlic
Ricotta Cheese
Red Pepper Flakes
Italian Seasoning
The way I do it is tomato sauce on the crust then Alfredo sauce on top of that diced grilled chicken, Mozzarella, Parmesan, crispy bacon crumbles, and chopped roasted garlic. I like to add red pepper flakes, dollops of ricotta, and Italian seasoning.
I’ve been asking since September 5, 2023

National Cheeseburger Day September 18, 2024
U. S. Have faith America. National Cheeseburger Day falls on September 18. That means there’s a free (or at least discounted) cheeseburger waiting for you somewhere in this great nation. Prepare to enjoy an American food icon a cheeseburger oozing warm cheesy deliciousness on top of a moist, juicy patty (or two) No matter how refined your palate might be, a good, old-fashioned cheeseburger seems to satisfy! Especially on September 18.

You are every bit of special, brother. You inspire me to step outside my comfort zone and cook new things. My wife certainly appreciates my newfound love of cooking and you have MUCH to do with it. I don’t know when your birthday is, but happy birthday dood! Yes, that is my spelling for that word, I’ve done it that way for years and I know it will catch on.

Hey Sam! Long time viewer and sub! With inspiration from you, I went out and bought a whole tenderloin (untrimmed) from costco, vacuum sealed some steaks and kept the chain fat trimmings. I was wondering what your thoughts are on grinding the extra tenderloin meat with some fat for burgers, or is it better spent on stirfry's and steak sandwiches

I tried for yeas to replicate a simple BLT from one of my favorite bars off base in Yokosuka Japan that I frequented in the early 80’s. Sam helped me realize it wasn’t the produce, bacon, or Japanese milk bread. It was the rich creamy flavorful mayonnaise with the baby doll on the bottle. Thank you Sam.

Tip, lately something I have only done with certain veg (bell peppers, onion etc) and mushroom. Salt and pepper to start and a light splash of thick Teriyaki at the end. The smallest amount just adds that extra umami to veg especially mushrooms and gives them great colour. Def worth trying out

I have been a devoted die-hard, it's Hellman's or it's nothing Hellman's fan for all 70 years. Kewpie Mayonnaise is absolutely fabulous on chicken & bowtie pasta salad, sandwiches and whatever else mayo goes on. Or in. I 100% guarantee Kewpie will. Not. Disappoint.

I started using Kewpie about 4-5 years ago when I started watching your videos, and never turned back. Even managed to have my local grocery store in small town Quebec to keep it stock. Having to drive 2 hours to Montreal to get Kewpie was a little annoying!

6: 24 I love when cooks tell u not to compact your burger meat & then they video themselves trying to flip a burger that just falls apart. Com’n Sam. U r better than that. Don’t be a sissy, press your meat in your hand & let us watch. LOL

Amateur tip. my local Kroger has a section of the meat counter where they offer steaks that need to be sold at steep discounts. I regularly now buy these, freeze them and pull them out to grind in my KitchenAid to make recipes from STCG!

This is where Sam is completely out of touch with the average viewer. Most of us can’t just snatch up three different kinds of ground beef. I rarely watch his videos anymore because of his lack of relatability these days.

YOUR SOUNDING LIKE WHIMPY > THE BURGER Man on POPEYE Burgers need lettuce, tomatoes, and ONIONS All of that would be excellent for sub sandwiches, Not BURGERS! You wear your burgers in the public NOT ME
reply

OMG great episode. you've converted me to Kewpie, only mayo I cook with. since I started buying it, all my local grocers now carry it (Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, etc). the influence of STCG will now be denied!
reply

One burger would have been fine on that last one. Geez. Lol. You turned me on to Kewpie several years ago. There's a definite difference in my burger sauces and dips. Glad I have a local source.

Mayo makes me violently ill. My stomach knows when people try to sneak it in. Love to see a month of sandwiches with no mayo. You don't put ketchup on wagyu, why do you need mayo on every sandwich
reply

Good looking burgers. Not sure about the lobster one though. Never tried Lobster (mostly because I can't afford it, and also because I will probably love it and still can't afford it. Lol
reply

Here's an idea. Make a cheeseburger where the cheese is so thick, there is more cheese than meat. Shouldn't that be implied if we call it a cheeseburger instead of a burgercheese

I imagine your neighbours might not be the happiest, with all the amazing smells coming from your backyard all the time. Their mouths must be watering constantly

Only original kewpie has MSG FYI. None of the flavoured ones have it. Im also pretty sure none of it comes from Japan as Sam said. It all seems to come from Thailand
