Here's my Q&A I did on the 21st for the 12 Days of Proko. There were a lot of great questions in this one and I even spent some time showing off one of my old sketchbooks Justin: Got a friend who has a dog, guess I'll try acrylics to portrait her with dog (usually go in for watercolor line and wash stuff. If I remember to, I'll snap photos during process. I'll keep in mind what was said here, though to me there are all sides, and when anyone points anything out I don't consider rebuking, but adding it to consideration. Ergo: dedication and hard work one true aspect. Physical and mental lack of deformity another true aspect. If someone is talented naturally, and 'wired' to do it well - third true aspect. Most people got the second point covered, so dedication and hard work gets them there? Well, natural talent helps get them further faster and to points that make the untalented yet dedicated seem mediocre. I account for this, wish more people did as well. That's all.

I also think it's sad for people to have hopes to be great when they never will be, and feeding this falsity by being kind to their feelings is even worse. Sorry I'm blunt, but honest. In fantasy land everyone's daughters are princesses and everyone can master drawing. In the real world there are mostly just peasants, and most people have lame jobs they aren't good at.

Seeing the great number of mediocre workers in different trades compared to the very few who master their trade, I've come to realize not many people are meant to be good at anything. Being a master is rare. It's also pretty easy for me to tell who isn't going to be a master, and who can be.

Love that Steve Huston interview btw, he has a nice philosophical way of digging into life logically that I can really appreciate. He related things to each other very well. Was pleasure to watch. Proko, your art is good. Nice you got obsessive enough to get there.

My style changing a lot to, its almost like every time I draw its different and I hate it cause I really want to find one solid one but its feels impossible, its like im never satisfied with my art: /
