Our fav watering tools: If you've got a hose nozzle with multiple settings, chances are pretty good you only use one or two of them. Are the rest worthless? Not quite. Here are the best ways we've found for how to use every single setting on your hose in the garden. Skariki: I use flat when I'm transplanting from soil to hydroponics. It causes fairly minimum damage to healthy roots and cleans the soil/perlite out of the roots very nicely with minimum effort. Haven't lost a plant yet.

Thank you for this I literally was looking at my nozzle this morning thinking all the additional settings except for shower were a waste. But not anymore. Also, thank you for the cover crop video you did last year. My pumpkins are thriving.

So I forgot which video, but earlier this year you had mentioned the center setting. Well, I have been using it all season, and love the deep watering and soil hydrating properties! It s a great tool! Thanks for these other suggestions!

I've had a Spring and Summer filled with illness. As a result, I get very weak and have to depend on my bench seat to water. I find the Flat and Full allow me to get the water into the pots from my chair.

What about cone? I'll tell ya. It's great for watering little upright seedlings without pummeling them. Works great on things in 3inch square pots and 1 gal pots.
