Thank you Erik, for bringing me along with you to the Northmen Guild and seeing the mastery that you got to be a part of. It's so fulfilling to see that the old ways will never die. This was refreshing. Kind of like a breath of fresh air. I can only imagine what your heart felt like with your hands on, and the smell of, the woods. And what it was like working with, and learning from, those craftsmen and those masters. . My heart was there, even though I wasn't. WOW! I have to live vicariously through you. Again, thanks!

What a fantastic opportunity to learn from true masters. I find it interesting that English is the universal language that allows people from nearly all parts of the world to easily communicate with each other. We Americans live a very insulated life already possessing a universal language within the confines of our own country, but we struggle mightily when we visit foreign countries.

For just a moment, when you arrived back at your cabin, I thought the table that so many had labored on during this video had made the journey back with you! But your table appears a bit thicker and heavier duty, but still a beautiful piece of work! Enjoyed the video, and I hope you'll continue to make things by hand and sell them!

Great video love to see the traditional wood craftsmanship. But guys, please use eye protection at a minimum. Bare feet in a wood shop, wouldn’t advise it either. I know I sound like an old man, but taken it from this old man who has seen too many people suffer unnecessary accidents for these reasons.

Many thanks for this video. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet but I can see from comments that some folks don't understand that the most convenient (economical etc) route from A to B is not always a straight line.
