My algorithm thinks I want to see boring green flat lawns. I'm liking your videos so it'll know i want to see that boring grass being ripped up and discard for beautiful gardens and meadows and trees and shrubs. Who ever thought boring old grass was the way to go? Grass is an invasive weed in my opinion.

One sod related thing I have always wondered.
On sod farms, what do they do to get the sod so thick and lush in one year that nothing but the sod grows?
I have had and seen seeded lawns and they always disappoint, so I want to create sod, and just never pull it up!

Thank you for this video. I have an area next to my 3 season porch that I want to plant some ornamental grass and didn't know how to remove the grass. Last time I did this I literally pulled the grass out by hand. Too old for that now. This will be much easier.

Very inspirational video. but. there's no way my (north Texas) grass will roll up like that! Did you score underneath before hand-rolling? I'd need a super sharp sod cutter! Btw. would love to be able to fill my bare spots with that valuable discarded grass!

i'm looking for a way to permanently remove grass/ weed so I don't have to mow the lawn every week. I havent done anything like this before. Does your method remove the root of the grass and thus PERMANENTLY remove grass? Thanks!

Thanks! My sod was awful to roll. Connected to the earth by seemingly hundreds of roots. Just completely fell apart in my hands as I tried to roll it/pull it out, as the roots did not want to let go. What a mess.
