Gardening With Texture Garden Answer Mairead: Great work, but your cat wants to be in your blogs, ,my open day when I open my garden for charity, one of my two cats was rolling in the cat mint! So I picked her up and put her to another part of the garden, yep she came back and started rolling again I said to my cat ( I kill you) she looked up at me as much to say, no you can't, there are people watching! Wow! Thanks for the great inspiration Laura! Wishing I had a shady or even dappled area to plant in I would love to plant hydrangeas! Waiting for baby trees to mature; ) Would the Hakonechloa do well in a full sun area? or is there another grass you might recommend? I hope your newly planted boxwoods do well after the tough weather you've all had there.

What's kinda tree or Bush is that behind you towards the end of the video when you're explaining the planting I think it's behind you at the corner left of your garage? I think a beautiful red Japanese maple that changes colors in the fall in that corner so that chartreuse green Japanese grass pops against that red orange fall colors. I love your choices.

I just loved how fresh and neat this area looked when finished. I can't wait for morning so I can get busy in my yard. What grassy texture (about the same color as the one you used) can tolerate 6+ hours of sun? I have no shade in my yard.

I underplanted one of my Japanese mapkes with hakonechloa. It would have looked beautiful with the large rocks there. But. the deer ate it. It tried to come back, but the der were persistent. You are so lucky not to have deer!

Do you always plant your plants so densely? My Japanese forest grass triples in size requiring frequent devision. Other then that your house and gardens are gorgeous. Keep on making videos! I am totally hooked!

Did you do any thing to your soil to have it soft like that or you are just lucky. The soil of my garden is so hard to dig. Is there a way to make the soil softer? Please help. Thanks
