TruDrop Self Watering Containers! Garden Answer Claudia: I know the drawing is over but I just saw this video and I love the idea and have tried to find the planters locally and online without success.
I sent the following message to the company, which I hope they can help me find the planters.
If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks Laura for helping me in my gardening adventures.
Message to CrescentGarden:
Laura from Garden Answer demonstrated your Tru Drop Planters. I LOVE the concept and they look really, really nice.
I am nowhere as knowledgeable as Laura, nor do I garden on her scale, but we share the same desire to cut down the time we spend watering our chlorophyll-producing babies and wasting water and fertilizer.
Sadly, there are no dealers selling your products locally and even Amazon is not selling the item I am interested in.
Please tell me the details for the Beeker Planter, as I am looking for a tall, narrow planter to place on either side of our steps to the porch and this planter looks like what I have been searching for and the bonus is that it will cut down on the time I spend watering.
The planter(s) is for our South-facing front border that has FULL-DAY exposure and anything we plant in pots needs watering everyday and, in the dog-days of July/August, may need watering 2x per day.
My husband says I should just grow cactus out there. :(
Laura said she had to fill it after 26 days, I will be over-the-moon happy if I can get ONE WEEK!
I live in zone 6/6b.
Thank you in advance for responding.
Claudia

I couldnt wait to get my hands on a couple of these planters, but with limited budget and no where in my area selling them, I turned to Amazon the 1st week of this yr. while looking for a 18 planter, it was priced $118 so I clicked on the other sizes & styles & I was SURPRISED to see the 26 rim midnight color for $107. I ordered 2, with hesitation, cause I thought something was wrong with it. I received few says later, free shipping, excellent condition and the quality is AWESOME. So I quickly went back on Amazon to order for my Sister & the price is more than doubled what I paid. (SORRY Sis! ) Anyway, thanks Laura for putting it out there what a great container this is, I cant wait to start plant this spring in NYC

Just ordered one of these pots to see if they work as you say and as I expect them to. Clearly they are expensive and it only makes sense not to spend tons of money until Im sure Im comfortable with their performance. Love your videos but Ill probably go broke. Every time you mention a product, I feel like I need to go out and find it. Cant tell you how many screen prints Ive emailed to myself to try once this very hard winter in Ohio is over and I can try them out in the Spring. Have a new deck, pergola and a blank area now for landscaping in back yard. Thanks for all the tips.

Laura! Gurl! You have stolen my gardening heart! Your video of your moms garden captivated the gardener in me. Beautiful. These are nice pots. I have devised a self-watering pot using only clay pots- as clay is porous. Its a clay pot inside a clay pot. There is nothing more time consuming than trying to keep up with potted plants during the hot summer.

I bought these planters as a gift to myself for mothers day. I love them! They are beautiful, lightweight and so functional. Wish I had known about them years ago- it would have saved hours of watering and hundreds of dollars in lost plants during vacation. Highly recommend.

Anxious to try this container and to gift them to my daughters in law for birthdays. since they are alittle pricey they make a great gift that you may not buy for yourself. time savers are always a great idea. not to mention the. oh i forgot to water. memory lapse thing.

Maybe it is just me, but when I have such a large planter, I feel like I need to ensure the plants I place in them should be proportionate to the size of the planter. I would think youd want more height from some of the plants to appreciate the size of the planter.

I starting researching the pricing on these particular pots. It would be unrealistic to change out all the pots on my property; the cost is ridiculous. Unless my research is wrong. Someone tell me my research is ALL wrong?

Thank you for VDO. I plan to buy couple of them. No need to water for at least 20 days. Will it smell? I mean water like lotus in pot. I would greatly appreciate it if you kindly give me some feedback.
