Revamping One of My Flowerbeds Garden Answer Keelie: Just wondering what the thinking is behind grouping plants together is. I always think that by spacing plants out/mixing them evenly I get a more cohesive flow throughout the bed. I want my eye to notice pops of colour throughout. If I planted in groups I feel like my eye is being drawn to the plants one by one and I might like one plant more than another so it might be that there is an imbalance in viewing and the pleasure it gives. I think I must have a brain that likes symmetry. like an Italian/classical garden.

Love the advice at the end. Ive struggled with an inherited garden from the previous owner, and there are things there that I really dislike, but just havent known what to do with them. Now I know! Take them out and plant what I love!
There is Lambs Ear in there. I dont like the blooms at all, and there is nothing that makes sense about where they are placed! Out they go!
I modeled a different garden after one you did this spring and it is doing nicely. Thanks for all your inspiring videos!

its so funny that you mentioned the music at the end because I was thinking the same thing when it was playing while you were cutting down the branches! I was just sitting here, tapping my toes as my head swayed from side to side thinking. I'm really enjoying this background music Laura has playing. lol I also loved how that spot turned out! You have such an eye for planting.

How do you maintain your flagstone walkway? Mine is driving me crazy with wobbly stones! I have always wanted something to grow between the stones, but nothing survives, no matter how drought tolerant and hardy the plant is supposed to be.
just rewatched this video and got to wondering about flagstone pathway maintenance again - still wobbling along with ours! Any tips?

this video is so old you've probably already re-done this space by now, but i've had my eye on the prairie winds totem pole switch grass. i wonder if that might look good in the spot where you wanted something blue, tall, and narrow; it seems to have a slightly blue hue to it (maybe not, but this is yet another beautiful bed. thanks for the inspiration!

LOL Rabbit Trail. may seem that way but to me it was a message that really spoke to me and where I am my life is my garden in so taking what you said in that last part as you called Going Down the Rabbit Trail was like a Rhema word for me just some confirmation and some more joy which I always get in watching Garden answers thank you

Your rabbit trail is something i have lived by this spring and early summer. Tried my first Lemon Coral this year in a planter and love it! I've spent years not putting enough stuff in my planters and was always wondering why they were not looking full. You have taught me so much, so thank you!

Do you have a video with similiar space and a western exposure? We have a western, zone 6b smaill garden is what I am currently looking to your videos for help me with. Our site set behind our ranch, situated in a planned community. One last attribute is that the garden has a slight slope. Ty

Nice video. I'd love to see more videos caring for some of the plants you installed last year. New plants are great, but visiting and doing split screen videos of a years growth would be nice and encouraging. Especially when you introduce a plant the year before it becomes available.

I cant believe you still have beds and areas left to work on considering how constantly and hard you guys have been working on this property! Do you think you will ever run short on landscape renovating projects once you get round everywhere for the first time? Xx
