very helpful tips! thanks! Also the problem of weeds in the gravel. I am overwhelmed by these! So difficult to decide what to do. Here in the UK I don't think we have 'Burn Out' but I will research for something. hopefully! Looking forward to a video showing how you dealt with yours. and also a video showing how you prune your LimeLight Hydrangeas. I have just bought some and they are tiny. I don't know if they are supposed to be trained into standards. aaaarrrgh! So much I don't know! Thanks for your help in this video

In the UK, we have to be careful with leaving old soil/compost in containers as we have vine weavels the lay their eggs in the soil, as they pupate the grubs make short work of the roots on a any plant, and you don't realise they've done any damage until the plants look limp. Of course often you think the plants at first are dry and need a good drink, when they don't pick up, that's when you realise they've been attacked.

Another great video even for us Floridians! So much useful information - the little stuff that often gets overlooked in describing. Thank you for giving me the bug to get outside. I just planted a kitchen garden and it needs watering. Our sun can dry them out in a few hours. How do you keep track of your feeding regimen? Is is all written down and do you write down what kind goes where or do you just know it all already?

You an incredible. Your home and gardens are so beautiful. You are an inspiration and I have learned so much from you. Frantically writing down what you say. I don't know if you answer questions on line but wanted to ask about a limelight hydrangea that is out of control. It is a tree. Can I prune it to about half in March (in Connecticut) and will it still flower this year? Thank you so much.

i love all your videos. so inspiring! Do you have a compost system. i have just built a new home and am starting my landscaping, soil amending etc and thought about starting a compost system and am not sure how to get started or what the best system is. also do not want something that is an eye sore as i only have an acre property and no real way to camoflage a big ol pile of rubish.

I go to the Seattle garden show each year for that serious kick in the pants for inspiration.
I went a bit crazy this summer when I went to the lavender farms in Sequim, Wa to make a big showing in my yard, but havent planted them yet because I want to know if I should add new soil enough to plant them in a mound fashion and also should I add bone meal to each one as I plant?

I wonder if one day I will live in a more temperate climate. I live in Saskatchewan Canada (directly north of Montana, zone 2a/3) and in March there is still several feet of snow and deep freeze weather! Such fun to see you doing your yard maintenance. I dream all winter long for May and being outside and getting my knees dirty! Love your videos, keep em coming!

love watching you pick flowers and prune around your property. Your so sweet and full of energy. It makes me wonder after a full day of shopping for flowers and planting, pruning, and weeding what do you make for dinner? I would not want to cook after a day like that! Well, I dont think I would have the energy. Oh and I forgot to mention baby!
