Large Vegepod Raised Garden Bed! This thing is huge! Garden Answer FunAtDisney: Ive seen this at my local garden center in Orange County, CA. I think its great if you dont want to bend down to garden and Ive seen you can get casters for the stand, thats good if you need to move it around. Also good if you all you have is a small patio or balcony (getting the small size. But price is a bit steep but the biggest downside is the mister. Like you we have hard water so Id rather have the included option to use drip or soaker irrigation. Also once the veggies grow to a good size the mister is not going to get water down to the soil as well. Basically you could build something similar for much less money.

This would be perfect since I can't kneel and sometimes my back bothers me. I like the metal and plastic combo because I believe it would last longer than wood. Wood looks nice but does rot over time. I think the unit would pay for itself over time and especially to save the back and knees. Thanks for showing it.

$529!
Misters along with a cover are not exactly a good idea, as many veggies can develop powdery mildew on their leaves. Even resistant varieties if they are held under too much humidity. (Pushed too far)
Pro or con? I think the price is a huge con.

Hi, can you tell how far the pod has to be away from the wall, or fence to allow it to open.
I am very short of space and my pod will have to go very close to my hut.
I can only open it towards the hut!
Great video, thanks for the info. Eamonn.

Ive been permanently disabled since my spine surgery in 2013. I was able to build eight 40 high raised beds using pallets. Unfortunately, theyre falling apart. These vegepods would be a perfect replacement. Hopefully they arent too cost prohibitive.

I planted a raised bed this year and I absolutely love it! I am using it for my herbs, beans, carrots and radishes. Though next year I might use it for my tomatoes. I might look into one of these for next year to add to my raised garden.

You might like to try using it for raising seedlings. It will give you a head start on spring plantings. I found the cost to be prohibitive for me, but a friend did purchase one of the smaller pods and loves it for his seedlings.

I've been watching those vegepods with some envy since I first saw them a year or so ago. Unfortunately, even with the discount it's still out of my price range. Maybe next year. Great video as ever! Thanks!

I would be afraid to mist and water my tomatoes from top (blight-danger. The system looks very steady and nice. I personally would prefer wood instead of plastic. But for City gardens it can be perfect.
