Thank you! It's 2021 and I'm working on my little seaside garden that I now know is a cottage garden, thanks to you! I love a sweet, wild garden planted with thought and creativity. My spaces aren't very big, about as big as the garden in this video, and I've worked so hard on color and placement. Your 10 tips were beyond helpful, bc they answered many questions I've had about, am I doing this right? So thank you again Laura, I'm a cottage gardener!

Thanks! U are a blessing, I enjoy watching ur videos. Everything u have said my mother and grandmother have said and done also. grandmother in Mexico and mom in Utah and now me in Wyoming. I struggle cause of the wild life. and I miss helping out mom and visiting Mexico. And cause of all the deer just don't let me have anything nice cause if it's not deer it's the rockchucks. but the deer! even if it's deer resistant they still eat it. I hate it!

Iv decided to turn each area of our acre yard to different styles. When I am done i will send pics. Hoping it makes your viewing other gardens. But I did have a question about the wintering of your garden. We are used to live in Silicon Valley weather so our plants never really died back or hibernate. Now that we live in Upstate NY we have real winters. Do you git rid of all the die backs of hostas, and othersreal

Thank you for this confirmation that it takes years and that it is a process. I just started my cottage garden. Started with just roses last year. Adding plants this year. friend giving me plants and me buying my own. Then some small urns. This garden is slowly revealing itself. That's the fun.

Laura. This was so fun. I've been gardening for many years but I always learn something from your videos. Always nice to get a new perspective. I also get excited when you bring up something that I do as well. Gardening does involve patience and is a work in progress. Love from Colorado.

Thanks for verifying that I'm actually planting cottage garden style: ) my new back gardens are all shades of blues, purples and white. My rose garden is purples, peaches and a soft cream yellow.
You've been inspiring me to get back into gardening now that I'm retired.

I wish you would have talked about the planter in the back. Its got some different heights and colors. Im very curious about it. Especially because the area is sun loving. I didnt see any blooms and my husband is allergic to bees. I really need help here with this subject.

I love all your ideas and beautiful gardens you creat. I just moved to agua Dulce Ca. I talk to neighbors they say flowers dont grow in this region because of extreme hot and cold weather. We are in region 8. Can you give me some tips as to what flowers I can grow here?
