Battling Insects & Weeds! Garden Answer Sherrie: Excellent! Thank you so much! This was just the information that I neededearwigs have gotten to all my roses, so much so that even cutting them and putting them in a bucket of water didnt solve getting the earwigs out, so when I brought them in the earwigs ( that survived the water tub, my shaking and my visual inspection, came out and got all over the house! Our New home, has a gravel driveway & it got covered in weeds our first spring and I am handicapped and cant bend down to pull them out nor have days to weed! Anyone with anymore info to add please reply!
Thanks again!

You can buy a hand air pump duster for applying your dust. Under $20. Cuts down on over application and wasting product. Dust goes into a plastic or metal jar that screws into the hand pump. A siphon tube in the jar sucks up the dust with each pump of the air plunger which then creates a small puff of air that blows a fine puff of the insecticide dust on whatever you are dusting. Cuts down on wasting powder. Allows you to apply just the right amount on the plants with less wasted on the ground when you hand sprinkle the dust. Dusters sold online or at your garden centers.

In this video, you discussed insect/bug problems with your coleus which required baiting with the powder/pellet. You also mentioned using Thuricide on your petunias and calibrachoa. Does that necessarily mean that anyone with Petunias/Calibrachoas will have the same problem, or is it more a regional problem? The reason I ask is: You said your area does not deal with slugs and snails too much which we do here in the South, so I wondered whether you, likewise, might deal with other bugs/insects on your Petunias and Calibrachoas that we might not. Thanks

I discovered 2 days ago that i have spider mites and I also don't like using pesticides. I shook a few stalks of a few of my flowers n roses onto a brown paper bag n got out the magnifying glass and it matched the pics online to a T! I'm using half and half rubbing alcohol and water especially on the underside of the leaves and its working out great! Funny how everyone is breaking out with all these nasty criters at once and your doing a vid about them! Timing is everything! Thanks for all the information!

You're so lucky! I'm in the Republic of Ireland. In early March local farmers spray Roundup (Glyphosate) on the fields in preparation for sowing. I am trying to grow my own organic food, but it's very hard to find organic insect sprays and organic fertilizers in local garden centers. I'm embarrassed to say we are so behind other countries in terms of organic gardening and crop production. Only 1. 6% of Irish land is used for organic farming. The cancer rates in the country are appalling by the way.

Hi Laura! Thanks for the helpful video! I'm just starting to implement organic pesticides and herbicides into my garden and home, so I learned a lot here! Just sprayed for budworms a few minutes ago with the Thuricide. I just realized that I have spider mites on my tomatoes, and the nearby sage is showing that it may be affected as well. What do you recommend as an organic spider mite, aphid, and whitefly killer in the veggie garden?

Can you make a video about how to get rid of gnats, the bottoms of my pepper plant is covered In a bunch of these white little bugs, and when I touch them the start flying everywhere, I dont want to kill my plants last time I tried to make something to kill them and it killed my whole plant and this plant is doing, but when it starts to fruit the bugs just kill them, I tried rinsing them off but they just come back

We have our home and yard sprayed twice a year, inside and out be cause sometimes we get scorpions, not many but that's because we nip it in the but immediately. We have it done twice a year because I have allergies and can't handle the odor (no matter if anyone else can smell it or not. my husband said I should hire out my nose to UCLA.

I am so glad I found this video! I am fighting Dock! It is never ending. It has a root like a giant carrot and if you don't get it all out more grows from the broken root! Not to mention it gets rows of seeds on it that dry out and start more plants! It is so invasive and running a muck in my Lilly garden.

Question about the dust you used. I feel like this would work best in the issue I have with my knock out roses the leaves are very wholly. But Im concerned about animals and if they brush up against it or investigate it is it harmful? I know you have cats around so wondering if you see they stay away
