I hadn't thought about adding individual drip emitters to the brown tubing until you mentioned it. I figured those were reserved for the black vinyl tubing drip irrigation systems. But with the intense summer heat we have where we live, the brown tubing (which can be purchased without inline drip emitter) is much more durable and less likely to soften than the black vinyl tubing.

Disappointed about the landscape fabric-that stuff is awful and I'm sorry you weren't able to talk your friends out of it. About the only place to use it is under a deck. Once the weeds start to grow on top of it (and they will) it will create more issues than it solves. I hope you will caution your followers about the negative attributes of this stuff.

Oh Laura please don't tell people to plant up to, or within 4' of the foundation! More often than not the foundation isn't sealed nor will it have the drainage pipe & limestone running around the bottom of the foundation & planting too close can cause the concrete foundation to leak over time. Concrete is porous, absorbs water & weeps on the inside.

Hi Laura. I have a question, this may sound silly but i just need to clarify. So after we set up everythig iwe turn on to check if its working. Then after that, we set up the Timer, then what? We turn on the faucet the whole time & wait for the timer to work it's timing, right?
Does it sound dumb? I guess but i need answer.

You stated in your video that the brown drip tubing has 18 hole spacing but your link is for 12 spacing. I want to purchase the correct tubing. I am following your instructions to the tee, so want to get this right. Would the 12 emit to much water or is it best to stick to the 18? Thanks!

I had never even heard of drip irrigation until I started watching your videos. My project for this spring was putting drip in for all of my beds and planters. It was a ton of work (most of our beds arent connected at all so we had to do a lot of trenching) but Im so happy to have it now!

Creatively,
My husband thinks if we put drip irrigation were going to have trouble with soil getting stuck into it and it drying up if we put it into our vegetable garden. Can you use it in a vegetable garden or even flower garden that doesnt have landscape fabric over the soil?

Can I post my questions here? I just installed my drip irrigation but not sure how much water I should give my newly planted knockout roses. I have 2 drip emitters ( 1 gph) per rose spaced 18 in apart for my clay soil. Is 30 mins per day enough water? Thx
