Stone Floor Installation in the Hartley Greenhouse! Garden Answer Nettie: This had to be the most satisfying moment! A dream come true. Thank you for sharing all your hard graft and beautiful creations. Garden answer has become a routine for our family. My own garden is completely trenched at the moment. I love how you and Aaron's abilities compliment each other. It really stands out when your working on a project that starts with making a big mess.
I am in the thick of mess and mud this spring, but keep feeling encouraging by watching the two of you pressing on and keeping the end goal in mind. Blessings and all the best to you! Much love from our little family

Absolutely gorgeous! And so worth the wait! I very excited to see your vision & dream for this lovely Hartley to come to completion. It will be such a dream come true when you, Aaron, Benjamin & baby girl. plus your whole family. can enjoy a cocktail (juice for the kids: o) & hors d oeuvres in your new entertainment area! The gardens will be so awesome to see them set off the Hartley! Laura & Aaron, you both work so hard at creating a lovely home & garden. you both deserve to enjoy the fruit of your hard labors! Plus, you have been blessed with talented, hard-working crews! Bless you all!

Beautiful floor! Wondering if you will be putting any type of sealer on top of it. We recently replaced a flagstone patio with brick pavers, saved all the flagstones, and then created a couple of flagstone walkways. There's also decorative rock/pebbles between the pavers & flagstones. I always love the color of the pavers, flagstones, and rocks, when they are wet. But they lighten up so much when they dry and it's disappointing. I'm considering trying a sealer to see if I can retain some of that wet color, and wondered if you'd be doing the same.

LOVE rock yards! I understand your excitement with the stones. We picked out a pallet of 5 boulders. one being in the shape of a seat. which I went nuts over for my grands to sit on in one of the garden areas. It was so much fun looking at all the rocks! I have a question. How are you going to keep all those beautiful windows clean? This is going to be a beautiful area!

Question, while I looove the thick stone you picked out, is there a benefit to it being thicker other than aesthetics? O, once it is placed, other than edges you would not be able to tell the thickness, right? I am planning a patio and would absolutely go with the thicker if I could justify the cost maybe for some functional reason.

I think Monty Don needs to have an invite to your beautiful garden. It would be nice to share your garden on tv in the U. K. Its been a joy to watch your dreams, plans and installation of The Hartley come to this stage. Looking forward to your future planting around the Hartley as well as seeing how you decorate inside.

Laura using fake bricks all over the greenhouse and then being fundamentalist about using real stone on the floor hope it's level enough to put all the furniture and staging for plants. Mind you a chandelier has no place in a humid greenhouse. but we'll let you do you, America

definitely a good eye for design, the overall cool grey being consistently reflected through the stones and some bricks that also picked up on those barely-blue hues, it makes the bricks feel earthen, grounded, and peaceful. also WOW those tulips need an award or something

Oh my God oh my God it's so beautiful I cannot believe it. Your idea about what to do with the floor was just so perfect. And then finding the stone, or the stone finding you, wow. This is just thrilling. So happy for you and so happy to get to follow along.

Stop being so high end! Most people cannot afford to do what you do! Come down to earth and downsize. your garden is unatanable to most people! The amount of money you spend on plants is ridiculous! Be real and you would be much more enjoyable to watch!
