Landscape Makeover Part 4: Planting Some Summer Color & Mulching! Garden Answer Sweet: Fart four. Ahahahahaha! :D So funny! Keep the bloopers coming, I love 'em! The project is looking great! I love new information about plants, like the hibiscus. At first I thought, put phlox subulata down around the fire hydrant! But then when you put the mulch down, that looked really nice and a patch of phlox would probably look funny there. I've been doing a stepping stone walkway project with phlox so it's on my mind a lot I guess!

Laura, this has been helpful. Would request you to add some additional episodes after this. Part 5 - Weeding, fertilizing regularly etc. Part 6 - If you were to add more plants (if you watch too many Garden Answer videos and end up picking more plants, how do you make space for them and add them - Dos and Donts. Part 7 - when the clear border starts to merge with lawn, what to do.
Please and Thank YOU!

Love your landscaping video. I'm learning so much from it. I am trying to do a better job landscaping my backyard. You are right in saying just do whatever you can plant for now and just continue as you go. I love the curves that you make. I will for sure incorporate that on my landscape instead of just a straight line. Thank you.

Love it!
I would love to see the kind of mulch used for each project in the description box. I always look there first because I know you've done videos, but it seems you use a different mulch solution often. Which I appreciate, but would love to just quickly get that info in the description box.
Thanks again for all you do!

Thank you Laura and Aaron you've done a tremendous amount of work and it's looking transformed beautifully. I have a front yard that is blank for now there are wood chips all around it because we're in drought here in California. That yard is about similar size thanks for the ideas I'll try to work on it soon!

I like the Elderberry there, cant it be trimmed? Q about Hibiscus. my Dad has at least 5 in a row (Hardy old fashioned type) they have bloomed incredibly every year, however this year the leaves curled and the blooms shriveled. They look pitiful. Any ideas?

I have 3 Little Lime hydrangeas and boxwoods in one flower bed, but needed some color in it. Omg I have found what I needed in this video! The Holy Grail Hibiscus! They are beautiful! I hope I can find them where I live. Thank you so much!

Oh my. what a beautiful garden this is. I can't wait to see the finished product. Especially when the elderberry goes! Lol. Well done as always, I wish I had your eye for design. but I do steal some of your ideas!

I love the music that's been playing in these videos! What's a good much option for windy areas? We get crazy summer winds and half the much ends up flying down the yard and I'm always left with bare patches.

Love the red hibiscus. But butterfly bush even small might still grow crazy in our area. The regular ones grow easily 20feet and very wide. And yes suckers ever where. thanks for explaining differences.
