I put my houseplants outside for the summer. They really prosper in the shade. It seems to make them stronger to endure the winter. One year I took all my spider plant babies and used them to carpet a shade bed and they lived over the winter! Zone 6A. but it must have been a mild winter. I wonder how many others would do that.

At the very end with the two pothos left she said she would put in their bedroom and right behind her on either side of the steps there is the little shelf area with two gray cement looking urn containers, I would have moved those and put those bright plants on either side! those cement things would look better elsewhere.

Ive been watching you for a while i started collecting houseplants for a year ago and i learned so much from you im in a apartment so no outdoor gardening for me so im glad you did a houseplant video its been a while and so true pothos seem more tougher then philodendrons thanks for sharing

Thats a Birds Nest sansevieria Sansevieria trifasciata Hahnii and it wont get tall, like the Mother-in-laws Tongue varieties, but will put out more nests and will spread out laterally. I think they look cool in a low, wide container, once its established and has reached its width potential.

just a little pointer cuz you got two precious cats, pothos is highly toxic for them! So if your cats tend to chew on a lotta plant leaves maybe spray the pothos with something to deter the cats or place the pothos in an area where the cats won't get to them. Happy indoor planting!
