Tips for Choosing the Right Garden Hose! Garden Answer Julie: Thank you so much, Laura & Gilmour! I would so appreciate a heavy Duty 1/2 or 5/8. Honestly, would appreciate any of them. Was just about to replace all 3 of ours, which kink all the time & are wearing out. Would love to give Gillmour a try. I will hold off with my fingers crossed. :-) My daughters & I really enjoy your videos & advice Laura. So happy that we have found you. Very inspiring & really appreciate getting info. Re Oregon! We live in Poulsbo, Washington and it is so helpful to see which plants do well where you live. If we are ever in your area, we would definitely love to see your parent's Garden Center. It looks so great! All the best to you & your lovely family. :-)

Maybe you could show us the difference between the hoses by attaching the same nozzle to the end of each and showing us how far the water shoots. Also taking a 10 gallon bucket and timing how long it takes to fill with each. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If the nozzle can only put out so much water then it may not matter which diameter hose we use.

I'm surprised that nobody pointed this out yet, but the big factor in the hose size should be the feed to your outside spigot. Here in Canada, most homes have a 1/2 line feeding the outside spigots so a 5/8 or 3/4 doesn't make sense, it just costs you more money. If I am wrong and you can explain it, please do.

We also would like to see more videos on your irrigation and what youve planted on the rock wall behind you. Thanks so much for your videos. Just found you! Im in zone 7a on the Columbia River north of you!

I know this video is older so I dont know if you will see my question. Can you tell me how you store your hose during the summer and during the fall? When I ask about summer storage Im talking about how you gather them up and where do you place the hose when youre not watering? Newbie question.

Thank you for such educational videos. Please let me know what kind of snap connectors you use on your garden hoses. In your videos I have often seen you 'snap' together your garden hoses. My Mother and I both want to transition to this method. Thank you for your response.

If the giveaway is still open. 5/8 on a medium duty hose! We just moved into a new place from across the globe and that's in my list of things I need to get along with many MANY glorious inspired by GA ideas flowing in my head. I even drew them out on paper

Thank you for another informative video! I have been researching of which hose I should invest in for the long term and I think I found one. It would be great to have the super duty 3/4, for I have to tug it back and fort over pavements and gravel.

Get a quality hose reel (non-plastic, and get the heavy duty or commercial hose (last longer. It will save you time and money long term. Get a quality Y-splitter at the faucet, quick release attachment for the hose, and that'll save time.

The T Mibole song is badass. Thats to say I LOVE the genre. Too bad it waited so many years. Must be my moms F. M. initials. I'd be Appalled what with WonTin wrappers and the M lines in my palmas.
