Wow, so much work involved, I always wanted to plant a row of Hollyhocks in a section of my yard, now I'm thinking that could be more work than I want it to be, I do love them, but now I might have to rethink that idea. So sorry about the gophers, I never knew they could be such a pain in the rear. Always so good to see Aaron as well, and a little bit of the Russell kitty, we hardly ever see Cheddar. Thanks for sharing this video.

I have tried mole max and it did move the moles a little ways but they always come back. I even bought gallon jugs of castor oil and used that in holes and tunnels. After the scent washes away with rain, the moles move right back. I am convinced the only way to get rid of them is to trap and kill them. I am not keen on that idea but I've tried everything else including grub killer. Nothing has worked for long.

I would take those hollyhock seeds. I have been trying to get them started on my place in TN. The first batch of seeds I got off of Amazon ended up to be burdock. (Thanks China sellers) Then I finally got some actual seed but all my plants got rusty blisters. I had to cut them. None of the treatements I tried worked to get rid of it. Maybe it is just too humid to grow hollyhocks where I live. I don't know.

5. 38 You know you can stuff the flowers. You need to pick them early morning before they close. Rice, grated onion, parsley and close the top with your fingers and put them next to stuffed aubergines and peppers and cut some potatoes, put everything in a baking pan, pour olive oil and tomatoe juice on top and stick them in the oven.

You guys are such an inspiration to my husband and I. Love watching your videos and your beautiful home and garden. You always look so pretty and fresh! Every time I go out and start to garden, I end up getting wet and dirty! I have long hair too and I end up putting it in a messy bun while I am gardening!

Youre such an inspiration. When my fear of bugs drives me inside, I watch your video and think: well Laura does it and without gloves! I need to be braver. When I tackle yard cleanup, Im covered head to toe for fear of bugs in my hair or up my pants etc. youre a great team, you & Aaron.

I transplanted a hollyhock this year from a friends garden to mine. Its been growing great but its about time to cut my other one down for the year. Winter is coming in Michigan should I cut the leaves off this one down to the dirt? Or leave it alone its only leaves atm

Off topic: I have a fountain like the one under your crabapple tree but on a smaller scale. My statue is very tipsy and I'm afraid a strong wind will blow her over. How do you secure a statue to the fountain so it won't blow over?
