Too Many Plants, Harvesting Parsnips, Grasses, Decorating and Catching Skunks! gail: I agree with Gidget. Thank you so much for these weekly wrap ups as I have some of the same questions. Plus the added info is always helpful and interesting. I have skunks too here in Orange County. under our shed last year. Peeee UUUUU, our poor puppy found out the hard way. Put out traps, caught only one, mostly the squirrels and neighbor cats eat the bait Will try the wire mesh you use on the chicken coop.

Just noticed you're wearing nail polish -- looks like a dark Happy Halloween color. :) love the pic of Benjamin and Cheddar looking at tablet. adorable. I'm in zone 5 - NH. I'm trying an experiment with overwintering Vertigo (it's huge) and purple fountain grass in our greenhouse. Greenhouse is heated with Pellet stove -- we'll see if this works or not.

Darwin tulips will come back for quite a few years. Unfortunately those beautiful tulips you see need a long cold winter to come back year after year. I live in zone 6B SW Missouri and it does not stay cold long enough for tulips to come back year after year. In the northern states tulips will come back more reliable than states below them. : (

Jake, this is only my 2nd year of planting allium but I went on line to research. Couldn't find that info in official sources but found mention by someone who put some in 11 years ago and they are still going strong. There are so many beautiful types, I plan on adding more next year, also I read that they have to be planted in the fall.

This was a great video. I love how you answer the questions or take to the comments of us viewers. It's encouraging that you do read what we have to say and you don't think you're a know it all and when someone has an idea you haven't thought of, you say it. It's humbling I think. You're a special kind of person Laura. Truly.

You have such an amazing, dynamic personality! You answer peoples questions in such a fantastic, positive way when some of them are invasive and opinionated- I think I would get a bit annoyed or defensive. I am always in awe of your hard work and dedication and it truly inspires me!

When your silly question got noticed by Laura Totally forgot about that question. Don't even know what I was thinking to ask that I might be sooo hungry that time lol
Anyways, thanks, Laura! Garden Answer is my daily stress reliever for sure

As you're sitting there in your cold frame filming this weekly recap, I noticed all your plants and thought I would love a little tour of what you still have inside and some of your plans and ideas for the plants. I know I'd watch that video.

I tried mums in pots this year for the first and last time. You're right, about 2 weeks then they are done. I do have a couple that are starting to come back again but they sat for a month doing nothing. Much better in the ground.

I so enjoy your weekly reviews and hope you can continue to do them. I have one question about your merchandise, did I just imagine it, but did I see you with a Garden Answer travel mug? If not, could you guys start selling them?
