Making Clove Orange Pomanders & A Simple Holiday Centerpiece!
video description
Hopefully, you might use it sometime during your creative videos here and Maybe I will find out where to buy one!
The tool peels away a layer - and you can control the width of how much you take off according to how much pressure you apply.
You can remove a skinny strip or a thicker strip - All depending on how much pressure you apply.
When you take off a strip of, say pottery clay -
You expose the layers underneath.
JUST THINK ABOUT ALL the beautiful things - like the layers and how gorgeous everything can be!
The tool Im talking about is kind of like a vegetable peeler - but, of course its Not a vegetable peeler. But it does, used (applied) gently - carve out a v shape; long or short depending
Make a v shape

Your Fruit Display is fab, very Victorian. Tip for you Laura when you are showing us a small item put your hand behind it so we can see the size and item clearly, as your Sweatshirt is Black, especially if the item you are holding out is dark. A Garden tree would be great, tiny little pots. Seed packets etc Would love to order some clothes and Hats but living in England we would have to pay import Tax. I bought 2 TShirts for a Charity from America but the import tax cost me quite a lot of money x With your clothing company and your Super chats you must pay quire a lot of Tax on the money uou reveive x

I love your videos and advice. I have learned so much from you and Aaron. I was wondering about a poinsettia segment. I can grow them tall and beautiful but I cannot figure out how to get them to transfer back to the beautiful red flowered leaves. My mom would make those clove and orange center pieces and it just isn't Christmas without them. Hope your little girl is as amazing as her family is. Merry Christmas!

Don't know if anyone will ever read this, but here goes. Its August 16, 2020 in the center of the corona virus pandemic as I write. For understandable reasons, I'm dodging Virginia summer humidity staying inside and watching your previous Christmas, Thanksgiving videos. Can't tell you how happy they make me about now. Thank you both for sharing your family and adventures with us. Love always

If you cover the oranges and lemons with cloves, then sprinkle them with vodka or gin before packing them with an orris root powder and mixed spice mix, they are fantastic either in a bowl or over the fire place. To refresh them, splash a little essential oil of orange (or lemon) into vodka and then sprinkle it over your pomanders. Limes can also make deliciously scented pomanders!

would you like to know the story behind a pomander? In days of yore when damsels had to go to town where it smelled of horse poop, maybe other animals too. they would have a pomander in their little hand purse and with gloved hand take an orange/lemon clove studded pomander and put it to their noses to smell something nice other than the street smells. isnt that awesome!

I heard about all the talk of the Superchats. I do find them a tad vulgar. It means that you pay extra attention to those who pay. And I always wonder if those people who give to Superchats have as generous a lifestyle as the recipient. That does not mean I begrudge anyone. I just think it becomes very money focused.

I know you won't see this but thank you! We tie our Christmas ornaments on our tree with florist wire (we've got a lot of precious glass ornaments) and I cut all the wire I'm going to need to hang my ornaments tonight while watching this video during lunch. This was the perfect distraction for a chore I don't enjoy.
