Making a Winter Arrangement for Our Front Porch!
video description
For a white accent: If you don't have a Dusty Miller at hand, groom up some simple lamb's ear (white-leafed variety. Or add a white-green Euonymus.
For a round bold leaf you could add Bergenia Crassifolia (blooms pink in spring and in a mild winter - a tough-tough plant.
For a burgundy accent you could add the groundcover Ajuga reptans (all varieties, they colour up from the cold.

Awh-ha! We are on the same page Laura. I just re created my holiday door hanging arrangement with eucalyptus & hydrangea blooms that are the red of the hukarah (sp) and a few white silk roses for a non-holiday arrangment. It was pouring rain but my porch kept me dry and you are so on target with doing it to make you happy when you walk by it. I actually love rainy day projects, they feel so relaxing to be creative for the pure joy of it! With gentle winter joy to you Erin & Benjamin! Rena

I love all your ideas! Youve inspired me so much lately, that I arranged some fake winter greens, blues (lambs ear, whites and a few pops of red berries on a grapevine wreath and have it hanging above my kitchen sink. I love it! I dont think I would have done that if I hadnt been watching your videos. You are very talented and Im so glad you dont mind videoing yourself and all the fun things you create! Thanks Laura!

I always look forward to your videos, love them! I laughed when you were saying what a mess! It was but you pulled it off as you always do. My OCD was kicking in with those branches but love the Juniper and those pinecones WOW! I envy your motivation to come up with these projects. It is so cold and gloomy here in northern Michigan. Cuddled on the couch enjoying your videos is where i'll be! Keep them coming: )

Oh. I thought you were going to put it inside? How can those plants make it with your cold temps? I know you've had a warm winter so far, but still, it's below freezing at least at night, yes? I'm in zone 6/7a and I cut my Heuchera way back because most of the leaves were dead about six weeks ago. And the dusty miller, really not getting how that's alive! Help.

Oh, how pretty. Thanks for posting. I looked out in my garden and I still have dead plants in my hanging baskets. This year has been put on hold outside because of my husbands' surgery. We will get back in the grove as soon as we can. He still can't lift more than 5 lbs. so my helper is down. We've had some weird weather here also.

Love your arrangement. You are so lucky to have an open garden center near you. Our best center is closed till April. And the other one is open but nothing is for sale. Only annuals. On a sunny day I walk around in the green house just to get warm. Thanks for sharing. Watching from NE Ohio. There's a blizzard today. 1-16-2020

Thank you for showing this arrangement. There are times when I buy plants but don't pot them straight away and they just sit there doing nothing. Now I have this idea from you that I can bunch them together and make an arrangement without actually planting them together until I decide what to do with them!
