Man could I relate when you said: We didn't have time to get to this bed because we had to get home to Benjamin. That is my LIFE: not having enough time to be able to garden enough, finish things/projects or otherwise be able to work till I'm too tired to work anymore. For me, it's always about being forced to stop because of other commitments. ARGH!

That has to be the best feeling to get rid of the old and dying yucky stuff and clean it up. Instant satisfaction! I used to go to my great grand pas house and clean it for him when I was in high school. Is a good feeling to help. So does your grandpa have a green thumb also? Does he live close?

How do you know which plants are to be cut back and which ones are supposed to be left alone to grow back? We just bought a house and it is ours on April 8th. I have no idea what the plants are called let alone which ones to cut back to make room for new growth. Thanks! Amy in Cary, NC

Would it be possible for a summer tour. It was very kind of you to do this for your grandfather. A few years ago I had bilateral saddle pulmonary embolisms that laid me up and my daughters came out and did a lot of spring work for me. There is nothing better than a caring family

What a good granddaughter and spouse too! My two teenage granddaughters were over last week and cleaned up the front yard. Plants are already coming up. They will be back to do the backyard soon. Doesnt it give you a great feeling to do something so helpful for someone you love?

My family and I spent the day clearing up sticks, branches, dead vine material, and an old swing set that had seen better days. Tomorrow we're prepping iur lawn for reseeding. So much to do in the month of March.
