The great thing about them is they bloom super-early and I always see the early bees visiting the blooms. I'm really liking the compact look of this new lungwort. While I do like my original one, it gets big and wide and then I don't love the look. I grow my elephant ears in morning sun only. I think the full sun is for climates with more humidity.

Love your videos! The plant 'lungwort' got its name from its medicinal use many many years ago. Wort means plant and lung is the organ it treated. There are many other plants that are named for their medical usage too. The original plant used for medicine is poisonous to cats. Has this been bred out of these 'new' varieties?

Hi Laura and Aaron! Those Pulmonaria are beautiful! They look so pretty where you planted them. I like all of the other plants you chose, too. Russell in the fountain, too cute! So nice seeing Aaron helping. You're so lucky to have him! Thank you so much for sharing! Also, love the fence and Hebe.

Where I live. lets be honest, in the middle of the woods. We have Elephants ears that grow wild here. they LOVE THE SHADE! I already have some coming up in my one wooded area. Beautiful as always Laura, like your heart and soul. But I would love to get some of the Pulmonaria, that looks awesome.

You mentioned that Pulmonaria does well in your soil. Have you also considered planting native plants as well? Just curious as you often mention plants being good for pollinators and can grow in your soil conditions but your plant selection usually involves new or hybridized plants!

I think that one thing prevents me to have a beautiful garden was money. A Simple few plants project can lead to $500 spending, one trip! Then more trip needed. so I had to stop: . But enjoyed your videos! And jealous you can plant at will.

I received three elephant ear bulbs from my mother in law, who is gone now, and planted them. This year I had nine bulbs and currently have one leaf that is 31+ inches long. Morning sun, zone 5, West Central Wisconsin.

Love your garden videos especially your parents garden: ). They are very soothing. Do you have snakes or spider problems in your region? if yes, is there anything we can do to repel them from coming to garden area?
