I Didnt Realize I Needed Color in This Spot!
video description
Question on the box wood bushes. I have some growing all along the front yard, and I noticed that lately I keep getting dried open spots. I researched and they said it could be that they need extra water, but the area they are in I can't run drip because it's too small of an area, and if I try watering underneath the water runs off onto the grass or cement. Can they be watered over head (they did come from a very rainy region I believe originally) and get to get the right watering they need, and can I trip the brown stems off without causing further damage?

Laura, you and Aaron are amazing! I watch how you interact with each other, and it blows me away! Your humility and kindness seem as lovely and fresh as daisies and delphiniums!
One thing that always strikes me is how you grow full-sun plants and flowers while surrounded by so many trees both big and small. Does anything compensate for sunlight? Like heat? And does time of dappled sunlight count toward full-sun hours?

Hey, Laura my astra blue balloon flowers had tons of flowers on them already this year. Now they are full of buds again but not opening. Any ideas of why they are not opening? They did this last year. I've never seen you plant these can you not plant them in your area? I'm a 11 year old gardener and my grandmother and you have gotten me hooked on gardening! Thanks for helping me along my gardening journey!

Hey Laura, these plants remind me so much of Hydrangeas with a punch of gardenia fragrance, both of which I adore. I suppose the scent isn't too overwhelming with your heightened sense of smell. Congratulations on the new baby! I'm super thrilled for you all. I wonder if the new plant variety will flop over time and if they hold well when dried. What are you thoughts? Thanks for your time.

Both new phlox are gorgeous, Laura! Question, what are the sun /shade conditions in this area? I have a similar yellow oak leaf baby hydrangea (mine is 'Little Honey', I think) and I am trying to find a perfect place for it in my garden. I know phlox would prefer full sun, but what about the hydrangea? Have not seen Russell and Cheddar for awhile, hope they are doing good.

Hi Laura and Aaron! Those new Phlox varieties are absolutely beautiful! They did add some nice color and height where you planted them. Do the Opalescence smell as good as the Ultraviolet? Also, do the Phlox tend to fall over like the salvia? That's the only thing I don't like salvia. Aaron is such a trooper helping out! Thank you so much for sharing!

Beautiful! So what is that Oak Leaf Hydrangea called? I bought one from the garden center in a proven winners can with the tag says Gatsby Star which Ive always wanted. I nurtured it in my garden for 2 months then it bloomed but def wasnt a Gatsby Star like I have hoped for, bummer. The one bloom I have looked like yours. Thank you.

Love your style and what you've done to your gardens. I'm not sure you realize the cost of the plants you use. Maybe you could do a show on some plantings that were more affordable. I'm sure the plantss would be smaller, but would grow. Congratulations to you both on the new baby

I am so envious of you! In my area, the Proven Winners selections available are few and mostly just the older varieties. The new varieties are NEVER available anywhere within driving distance. Mail order/shipping is very costly for a decent sized plant. Love your videos!

Laura, these are gorgeous! They took my breath away! I love your videos and always pick one to start my day.
Anyone know what the chartreuse plant at minute 5: 23 next to the maple is? I would love to copy this little vignette in my garden!
