Hi Laura and Aaron! I'm anxious to see the Zinnias once they bloom. I'm glad your drip tubing was ok. I had to laugh when you got Aaron with the water, sorry Aaron! The trimming you did made everything look better. Hope you appt. went really well! It was nice seeing Russel and Cheddar together. I think I'll be able to tell them apart now. Benjamin, as always, is so darn cute! He's talking so good, and counting, too! Thank you for sharing!

Hi there! Question for you, have you ever grown zinnias in containers? Any tips? Your lovely family has inspired mine to finally make our small garden space something wonderful, we are loving everything in it and I'm trying out new items in pots like zinnias and I'm nervous, help! Thanks for all the inspo and stay cool, also I'm in PDX, zone 8b.

Laura says, I don't have much that I want to do today. Proceeds to do a lot of work! I remember talking to the mailman while gardening and he had a slight smile on his face. I went inside and looked in the mirror. I had this tall weed stuck in my hair sticking straight out from the top of my head. Benjamin is such a sweetheart!

I love the idea of planting Zinnia seeds, even in Maine I should be able to see them bloom before Frost.
I tried Bio-Tone in my raised beds and my dog likes to dig it up and eat it. Like most dogs if something stinks they like to eat it or roll in it. . Do you have any other suggestions rather than Bio-tone?

I planted the Thumbelina zinnias from botanical interest earlier this spring and they never got past seedlings. Im attempting again and its been 3 weeks since I planted them and theyre still just little sprouts. What am I doing wrong? Theyre in full sun and I water the bed theyre in regularly.

I'd love to see you planting more straight native perennials. Those are the real plants you should be adding. You won't need to be constantly fertilizing and watering them because they don't harm the environment and are adapted to your area. And you'll be providing pollinators with real resources.

That Little Benjamin just keeps getting cuter and cuter! One of my Japanese maples is super dry this year too! I'm hoping it comes back okay in the Spring. I didn't know zinnias were so easy to sew, I might try that next year, it's super hot here too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Every single deer resistant plant/flower we have has been happily gobbled up by the deer. The only plants that seem to actually truly repel them are the pungent herb types of plants. We put anti-deer spray on everything else.
How do we keep bulbs safe from being eaten?

Laura, please be very careful inhaling the fertiliser. I am worried that is going to make you or the baby sick. Thank you for the nice video. Take some time off for yourself to rest. You deserve it. Benjamin is so smart and sweet. Was very nice to see the cats too.
