Tree Arrival! Garden Answer Olivia: Hi Laura! The trees look amazing! I would be just as giddy as you if that was my property!
I caught a glimpse of the inside of your barn, and I would love to see more. Could you do a video of your organizational systems you use for tools, garden supplies, etc? Might be a good video for the winter when its too cold for other projects. I know most of us dont carry the same amount and variety of tools as you, but it would be a great inspiration to many of your viewers. Thank you!

When you plant trees this large, how do you keep them from suffering with transplant shock? I ha e planted 6 different varieties of trees this year and every one of them shocked so bad. I have 2 October Glory maples I planted in the spring. They lost all their leaves, then when the new leaves started growing they were brown on the tips (burned looking) and they still have not rebounded.

Have you thought about staggering your trees instead of having two at the same spot either side of you? This is so you'd be coming up on a tree every 19 feet instead of every 38 feet. Either way, a maple lined lane does look glorious! My neighbor has about 30 oak and maple trees that line her driveway and they are gorgeous during the fall.

I always place my trees and shrubs and let them sit for a day or so before planting too. I'm in the the middle of planting trees and decided last night while trying to fall asleep that I did not want four crabapples in a row after all and am moving one to another spot in the yard. Of course, I have to do my digging myself. I am the machine!

I'm so in love with what your doing down your driveway with your trees. That is going to be beautiful. This is not garden related but could you please tell me where your husbands shirt comes from? I would love to get the same shirt for my husband. LOL. Thank you and congratulations to you both of your pregnancy!

I know it may seem strange to you but I'm just as excited as you are to see these trees go in and the changes on your property. It's going to be so lovely.
I noticed you had a real professional driving the tractor. It was expertly handled. Well done Aaron: .

When you say, Oh isnt that the most gorgeous thing ever? My little heart went pitter patter. I adore trees. Ive been curious how to transport/order/ plant LARGE trees. Do you have any idea what the expenses are on trees this size? Oh man. THEY ARE GORGEOUS!

I wish you all the luck with the Autumn Blaze Maples. Here on the high plains of eastern Montana, zone 4, they are only moderately successful. They break every winter from the wind. The occasional one that makes it is so beautiful.

One of the reasons I absolutely love watching you plant. ANYTHING, Laura, is to see the expression of excitement that you have on your face! It truly is inspiring watching your face light up!
