Putting Out a Few Porch Decorations + a Very Exciting Light Installation! Garden Answer Kate: i put vintage multicolor lights on my blue spruce outside, i couldn't wait to put them up, as i'm typing i see you found them at walmartthose are what i used, i have all white on the fence behind them. everytime i look outside and see it it warms my heart. i bought extra boxes for next year because it's going to be bigger, this is it's second year. i actually put real vintage lights on last year but it needs new bulb, just love the look of them. i like the burlap as it, everything is tidy so they look natual abit less perfect, beautiful decorations, Merry Christmas. BTW-in Meridian, i always put up my lights in late October. a warm sunny day, .i know i look crazy, but i don't care, sometimes the winter blows in and it's miserable to put it all up.

It's prob inappropirate to ask but, for such a young couple, you all seem to be able to afford such a magnificent house, furnished the home, have all those huge planters and urns and ever-changing plants, landscaping and water features, bought the adjoining property. I just wondered if you won a lottery or what line of work is Aaron in? I think you work at your parents garden center but, I just can't imagine being able to afford it all. Hints for others' success?

The new light looks PERFECT! How awesome for Peggy to send it! You have such a wonderful group of guys to help you. Aaron, Chad, the one who helped move the pots (so sorry-don't know his name) right down to Benjamin and even Russell was helping you! As far as simple. sometimes when the world is crazy (and 2020 sure has been INSANE) your soul craves peace and quiet and there is nothing wrong with that. the area looks so beautiful and welcoming.

OMG I love it so much! We want a spruce at the corner of our house, but I don't really want it more than like 15 feet tall. Can you recommend one (or another conical evergreen) that stays at/under 15 so it doesn't completely dwarf our 1 story house? It has been my husband's dream for years to have exactly that kind of look with the ceramic lights on a Christmas tree: )

I love how Aaron is always down for anything you wanna do. Most men would be like. Really? Something else! You two are so cute together! You've always got some creative changes, are you in nesting mode of your pregnancy where you wanna do more? If that's even possible. For what it's worth, I think the burlap looks better scrunched up.

Huge fan! First time commenter. I am 4 months pregnant, due in May, and I have a two year old daughter. Youve been an inspiration for me to keep going with my outdoor chores lol I am started to plan my 2021 garden but am afraid Im biting off too much! Do you feel overwhelmed to think how we will do it all with a toddler and a new baby?

Very pretty, however for my taste, I would change the walnut wreaths out for something with a more Christmas look. Something simple with maybe some greens and a little gold to match the pillows, but that's just my opinion it's your home. The walnut wreaths just scream October to me, if that makes sense, lol

Hi! Alba here. Thanks for sharing the process and loving the vintage lights! Do you think maybe you could do a video with ideas on how to install, display lights etc? When hanging the lights on our facade I was thinking. how would Aaron do it? Thanks and big hug from The Netherlands!

This is my first time watching you. I love, love the outside of your house. I hope you dont mind me suggesting but have you considered painting your two front doors black? I think it would help them to pop. I cant wait to see all of your decorations!

So funny, I was thinking Charlie Brown Christmas tree in my head when you said it. Lol. And leave the burlap. The crinkle in the fabric adds a nice texture. I liked it anyway. The whole project turned out great as always. Thanks for sharing.
