DIY Wire Topiaries for Houseplants! Garden Answer Deborah: This is a wonderful video as these pot sized topiary forms are so difficult to locate, and when one does, they can be a bit expensive and are usually single wire. Weaving this jute wire about itself seems to make a more substantial form for the plant to hold onto.
Is that one plant with small dark green, white edged leaves, a ficus pumila 'Snowflake'? If so, do you have a source please?
Thank You

I am SO excited to see this! I have been looking everywhere for small topiary forms, that werent tacky or cheap, like one you showed in a recent video, and I cant find anything. I was thinking about taking a wire hanger and making one and wrapping it in jute but I hadnt thought of this! I cant wait to do this. Thank you!

Such a fun project! I love that wire! I also love the planks with the Terra Cotta pots in the wall in the background. Did you make those? I am looking for something similar to hang on the gate panels of my fence. I drew a sketch for inspiration. Thank you for always being so awesome! I hope you are feeling well.

Love this idea. My mom used to grow ivy in a pot and she used something she called a peat post which she trained her plant around. Ha, she didn't train it. She wrapped it around the post. I have tried to locate those online but haven't seen anything like what she used. This gives me some inspiration.

Hello, such cute ideas! I painted a terracotta pot with acrylic paint once but when I watered the plant it started to bubble, I think thats because its porous. Do you think this will also happen with chalk paint?
Best wishes, Dorothy

I am doing a floristry course and the teacher taught us to use half milk half water as a substitute for leaf shine. Could you do this to a living plant or would it be harmful? Ive fallen in love with this project xx

Laura, when should I start fertilizing my garlic? Also, my foxtail lilies are up like two inches, should I fertilize now for best results? ( On eastside of Cascade Range Oregon, 10 miles from Columbia River. )

I just repotted some vining Hoya on a sort of meh topiary. I love this idea of the jute covered wire, I might even redo my project with this method. Also, I can see some pink primrose tucked in these. So cute!
