Planting An Evergreen, Ornamental Grasses and a Blooming Shrub! Garden Answer Debra: Hi Laura & Aaron, you had said I hope you guys aren't getting tired of planting videos, no way! I haven't gotten tired of any of your videos. I've learned so much just watching everything you all do and have become so brave and confident in what I'm doing. Thank you so much! I do have a question that's totally unrelated to this video. I was able to find PW Black Lace Elderberry (Sambucus-nigra Eva) first time I've seen them at garden centers around me here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (zone 7) and finally my question to get berries what do I have to do, find a Sambucu-nigra Adam, lol or whatever the male version is? I have apple trees I planted this summer and want to get a peach and maybe the apricot-plum you have. but dont think that will help with the berry situation on the Elderberry. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks as always for all you do and sharing your lives with all of us! xoxoxo

You're a very pretty girl but do you ever put your hair up in a ponytail? It would be nice to see more of your beautiful face with having your hair up. I also want to add you should really think about wearing a cap with you being outside a lot. In time the harsh sun will damage your skin or possibly cause skin cancer as one of our friends got from not wearing a hat or long sleeve shirts. I'm sure with a cap we'd still be able to enjoy seeing your beautiful face and your vibrant enthusiasm you show when planting. I truly enjoy watching you plant as I also share the passion of gardening it's just hard with being disabled I keep buying plants and have at least 20 I need to hopefully get in the ground soon or put them in our garage over winter. Thanks for your videos.

It's fascinating to watch Laura move so quickly. Here in the midwest with hard clay soil full of potato sized rocks, planting takes much longer with much more effort (even though I got an auger and that helps move things along soooo much. I can't imagine just easily scooping soil back around a new plant. What a dream that would be.

Laura, I loved how you walked over to the spot with the grass and said, Nope. Not feeling it. Thats exactly how I garden. And the wonderful thing about plants is if you change your mind about where you want something, pop it out and put it somewhere else. Ive become a huge fan of Linda Vauters method: rob Peter to pay Paul.

Not going to lie, I had to check the speed I was watching the video thinking I accidentally bumped it or something cause you were running around like sonic the hedge hog planting all those things but seriously, I can't wait to see things grow an mature and fill out their spaces. It's going to be magnificent!

Laura with an auger=superwoman standing tall on top of a cliff with her cape waving in the wind--ready to head for her next mission. Her vision is that it will be done beautifully!
Q: Did you intentionally set one of the sumacs to one side? Or it just has a wonky stem? Looks cute.

Your property is coming together so beautifully. I love how you plant your gardens. The grass is coming in so well and the brick pathway is top notch. I totally enjoy every time Aaron puts that drone in the air and the video with your little daughter and son was priceless.

I have the start of a lovely rose of sharon hedge in my side yard (from the previous owners, but so many shoots! How do I go about whittling out suckers-should I apply a sucker formula? I have no idea the varieties-there are several different colors-white, pink, purple.

Totally off subject but. Do you ever give your chickens any meat products. I had no idea they'd eat meat but I saw a video where the lady had the fat and connective tissue from a cooked roast and she was going to give it to her chickens. She said they love that.

Ah! A new pallet walkway! So excited - your current one is my favorite area in for garden. Will you plant a similar cottage-y style around this new one or will you continue the park theme there? Or simply whatever feels good in the moment? I love that!
