Peaceful Cooking with Ingredients from the Garden: Cornish Pasties & Roasted Root Vegetables Fay: Loved the calmness of this video.
I come from Padstow in Cornwall and remember making pasties with my gran. She had a dinner plate for each of us that varied in size! Instead of using a fork along the edge you need to crimp the edge. I remember my gran with piles of finely chopped potatoes, skirt (beef) and swede. Seasoning only salt and pepper.
The crimping on the outside allowed the miners to be able to hold the pasty without getting it contaminated. The end part would be thrown down the mine for the grockle to ward off evil spirits. Traditionally, one end is sweet - apple and the other end savoury.

And FYI, I use Cameron's Best coffee as my personal coffee brand preference as well and a pour over/slow drip method of brewing my coffee. Thank you for this video. It was so relaxing to watch during the mayhem of the holiday/Christmas season. Makes you slow down and realize what is truly important during this time of the year. Merry Christmas to you and your precious family (Va, Zone 7a-b.

We love pasties in NE PA. Quite a few Welsh settled in this area years ago & pasties were a staple for them since that was generally their lunch working in the mines. Some stores sell them commercially but it is a real find if someone makes them in their home and sells them. Quite often they are made with ground beef instead of steak as it is cheaper but still tasty. You made me hungry.

This video was wonderful. You definitely give Joanna Gaines a run for her money, lol. This was so well-edited and peaceful. It was a gift to have such a sweet view into your family life. I felt like I could relate a lot. Well, with more screaming from kids in the background, lol. But the feeling was the same nonetheless. Please do more like this again.

Laura my two loves are gardening and cooking. Loved this. Oh maybe you could give us a rating that your family gave the recipe. Would love to know if it was actually tasty ( now that I think about it, you probably would only share things that turned out to your liking. In any event, loved this videomusic, pace and family

I understand this is your business and you need year-round content. Although I like the idea of this video, it was too scripted and sounded like you were reading to me from a book. Your natural way of speaking is much more enjoyable to listen to, IMO. Your meal looks great!

I loved this video, perfect for Christmas night viewing after a wonderful but busy day with 8 people and six dogs here for Christmas dinner. Very relaxing and beautifully presented. Thank you, I Hope 2022 is healthy, happy and prosperous for you and your families.

One of the things I saw my mother do is, to use newspaper in the sink when peeling vegetables. Just line the sink before cutting. Easily, when done peeling, just roll the newspaper up and there goes the mess. No picking it out of the sink. Very efficient.
