Laura watching you use a heat mat to encourage quicker germination, I had a thought. (This is a little off topic though, sorry. Summerific hibiscus is notorious for being slow at coming up and we have such a short growing season here, do you think placing a heat mat on the ground over the root system (in the Spring with things are showing growth, that it would help encourage quicker immergence? What are your thoughts on this idea?

Hi Laura! Great job today!
I planted some tulips and other bulbs in containers and put them in my garage, so the squirrels wouldn't eat them. Well we've been so mild here in Colorado springs that one set of bulbs bloomed and died
The tulips are all peeking their heads out. For the ones dying back, will they bloom again this year if I cut them back?

Do you ever go over how to clean and sanitize your seed trays between seasons? This is my second year starting seeds meaning I collected all of my trays last year. I feel like hydrogen peroxide needs to be involved but I just wanted to check with the experts here before I start washing them poorly and possibly introducing bacteria to all my new babies.

Could you do a video for zone 7b (Fraser Valley, B. C, Canada) for how to and what to plant in those 'over the railing' planters. with trailing plants as well? They will be on drip irrigation, all around the back deck. not sure if one should put drainage rocks in them, or fill the whole thing with dirt. backplant with taller annuals. etc. thanks!

Good day,
Are you aware that you can purchase capillary mats, like you use for your self watering seed starting trays, designed for greenhouse tables? You can covert you tables to all be self watering. Lee Valley has some really clear instructions showing how its used. Could be a huge time saver when your weather heats up.

Hi Laura. We noticed your blooming hyacinth in the pots in the greenhouse. Could you please talk briefly on how to care for indoor blooming hyacinth (or other forced bulbs) once their blooms are spent? Do we keep the soil moist and how soon should we transplant the bulbs into the ground? Thank you for your continued inspiration

I love all your videos! But I am so intrigued by the comment, we eat more cabbage than broccoli. I would love to know what you are making with cabbage. We are a big broccoli house, and I cant get anyone to eat cabbage! :-) Im sure you are doing something better than I am to make that happen. Keep up your awesomeness!
